Odie’s View
From The Back
When I last wrote we were in in Weir Kansas doing our third tent revival of the season. We had a superb time with Pastor James Fellers and congregation of Faith Tabernacle.
It was our privilege to be a part of Elco Family Camp this year in Illinois. Thanks to Pastor Geoff Bond and all the board for the inviting us to be with you again! Dad preached the morning services and Bro. Michael Switzer preached the night services. We really enjoyed getting to work with Bro. and Sis. Switzer!! The entire meeting was the boost we needed to get us through the summer!
Pastor T.L. Futral and Paducah Holiness opened their doors to us again as we were passing through. We had two great services with them in Paducah, Kentucky! Dad was in heaven because their ladies prepared an awesome meal!!
Elkton, Virginia was the location of our fourth tent revival. The Deanes were so gracious to team up with us and host two revivals. We had a great time in Elkton and many people visited the revival and received help. We are so thankful for everyone who supported the revival in Rockingham County!
It was our pleasure to be with Pastor Ken Taylor and the sweet people at Bristow Assembly. The Lord definitely visited us in Bristow, Virginia!!
Still in Virginia we headed to Ruckersville. It is across the mountain from Elkton. We set up the tent and had two wonderful services. Again we were blessed to have Bro. Eddie Deane and family working with us. The town’s folk were excited about revival. We had high expectations of a wonderful move of God in Greene County. Greene County officials had other ideas. Because of a so called “Zoning Ordinance” they forced us close down revival. It really was nothing but religious discrimination!!
It was a disappointment to not be able to complete the meeting. Through it all we were reminded to trust God even if His plan is different than ours. Hopefully in the future things will change and we can return to Greene County for a full revival. Complete info on the Greene County Revival can be found on our blog.
We owe a huge thank you to Pastor Buzzy Deane and everyone at Sandy Bottom Holiness Church. They supported both tent revivals in Virginia so much! We are thankful to call you our friends! May God bless you abundantly!!!
Then we journeyed home to Ohio. I am glad God allowed us to have our final tent revival in Waynesville. It was an honor to sow the seed of the Gospel in our home town. We had a wonderful time every night. It was super exciting to have Bro. Jimmy, Sis. Shauna Millikin and the kids with us again! They were definitely a hit in Ohio.
Our “Summer of Tent Revivals” is finished. The tent was put up six times this year. We had some grand times under the tent! Souls were saved and encouraged and seeds were planted in each revival. I pray they continue to grow!! Thank you for your prayers!!! The weather was great for tent revivals too.
Thanks to Pastors Acy Wendell Lamb and Bill Lamb. It was great to be in service with you at your churches while we were in Ohio.
Pastor Rex Lloyd of Dodds Pentecostal Church invited Dad to preach Homecoming this year. It was an honor to do Homecoming in the church where Dad was raised. Food was great too!
Campmeeting at our home church, is always amazing. This year topped our expectations! We heard great preaching from God’s word and felt His presence. It is very encouraging to see my Pastor Bro. Bennie Sutherland and church receive help! We are blessed with a wonderful church family!!!
Currently we are at Trinity Pentecostal Church in Central City, Kentucky. We are having a great time with Pastor Alan Harris. Revival started off right with Homecoming and is going great.
Well, I hear the engine starting so I better go ‘cause we’re On the Road Again.

Wow! That would have been great, Bro. Riggs. Although we did have good fellowship and food here on Labor Day. Too bad we couldn't put it all together in one place!
