Tale of Two Trailers

In February 2011 Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe gave our ministry a super great deal on the white 24 ft. car hauler for our Summer of Tent Revivals. We pulled it a bunch of miles last year hauling the tent, chairs, platforms, extra sound equipment, Mr. Cheap Jeep and all the rest of the supplies and tools we needed. This trailer has been a wonderful blessing and served us well. It is a 2009 and is still in great shape so it will serve Bro. Nathan Henegar well for a long time to come.

The other trailer is the one that Bro. Henegar donated to our ministry recently for tent revivals. I posted about that HERE. The white trailer spent the winter behind the church in Richton, Mississippi where Bro. Scott Morris is the pastor. Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim brought the white trailer to Ellisville today so we could load everything into the new (but older) trailer. The boys from the school helped us move it all, including the 200 chairs that had been delivered a few weeks ago.

Below are some pictures from today. I even snapped a picture of Kelly Jo holding one of the black chairs everybody wanted so badly. Lol

Revival here in Ellisville is going great. The church is getting great help in the altar services and we have been blessed with several first time visitors too. It is always good when God begins to draw folks in. Excitement is building each night and we are anticipating more great things.

Pastor Kenny Morris and Sis. Joan Morris are great friends of ours. We love their fellowship so we have been having a great time visiting each day. The church folks have received us very warmly through the years and we enjoy visiting with them too. It is always a barrel of laughs around Ellisville, Mississippi.

Thanks for praying for us.

Aeriel View of the Tent Last Year

Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe brought something interesting to my attention Monday. The tent we used last year is visible on Google Earth and Google Maps. The first tent revival of our "Summer of Tent Revivals" last year was at Hilldale Holiness Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The most recent pictures of that neighborhood on Google just happened to be taken the week of tent revival. You can see the tent, the trailer and the BoggsMobile.

Seeing the tent in these pictures brings back great memories of revivals last year and makes me anticipate this year's tent revivals even more. Our first tent revival of 2012 is scheduled to kick off in 26 days in Citronelle, Alabama and we are excitedly counting down the days. I can't wait to put the new tent up for the first time and step back and watch the Lord work. We have been preparing nearly every day for quite a while and we believe God is going to meet with us during these meetings. Churches are fasting and praying for their communities and God will honor that.

In the picture the tent is at the top next to the road and the trailer is just to the right of the tent. The BoggsMobile is toward the bottom of the picture just below the last building. I think it is pretty cool that we have a lasting record of our Summer of Tent Revivals in 2011 courtesy of Google.

As always in Blogger, you can click on any picture to bring it up bigger and view all of the pictures in this blog.

Ellisville, Mississippi, Pastor Kenny Morris 2012

Revival began yesterday in Ellisville, Mississippi with a bang. I know I say this often, but we are having revival! It seems that God is offering revival to His people every where. In many churches across our nation and around the world, God is reaching out and folks are responding. It is God's will for us to have revival in these last days and I want it. I want to be smack dab in the middle of it! I want to preach revival but I want to experience revival for myself and my family even more. Praise God that He is bringing it.

I can not wait to see what God is going to do in lives and families this week. Last night God touched and blessed all over the house and I am thankful for that. I am sure He will do the same the rest of the week. Pray that we will be willing and obedient and not hinder the move of God in any way.

Our home church, Dryden Rd. in Dayton, Ohio is beginning their 3rd week of revival. God has been saving, blessing and filling with the Holy Ghost and we are praising God for it. When they receive strength then we receive strength as well. Praise God for helping our Pastor and our church family.

Here are a few pictures from Ellisville. I am sure we will have more later in the week.

Pictures of Shawn's Fix on the BoggsMobile

It is Sunday morning and it is a good time to praise God for his help! He leads us one step at a time and knows exactly what He is doing. You and I may be in the dark most of the time concerning His plans for us but God is never confused! God is never surprised! God is never at a loss as to what to do next!

We are still praising God for helping me on the side of the road on my way from Oklahoma to Nashville, Tennessee. For the full story of our miracle "fix" click HERE. That day could have ended any where between an expensive tow to some place I would hope could fix it after the weekend to losing the bus in a brake fire. Overheated brakes and tire blowouts are two of the leading causes of bus fires. Thanks be unto God for His wonderful help!

When the bus was up in the air Monday I took these pictures. I realize not every regular reader will be interested in seeing these but I also know that some of you can't wait to see them.

I can't wait to put the vice grips and ratchet strap back in Shawn's hands....

Shawn was able to crawl under the bus and get me going that day along side the road. He worked in terribly close quarters and it is amazing he was able to do it at all. He released the brake on one side and held it in that position with a ratchet strap. He pinched off the air line with a pair of vice grips. There was no way to repair it properly under the circumstances so he used God inspired ingenuity to get the job done. Praise God some more times!

While in Nashville, Prevost replaced this brake chamber and the air line to it. They also adjusted the brakes and checked out all of the other components. It all worked great on the way to Mississippi. We should be ready to roll for a long time.

We learn as we go, or at least we should learn as we go, and I have been looking for lessons in all of this. I want to learn and pass the test and move on to the next lesson! I do not want to repeat the same hard things time after time. I am learning more and more how to trust God and His leadership. As I said before, He knows exactly what He is doing.

I also want to learn the natural, physical lessons as well. I have learned this week from talking and listening to mechanics, bus drivers, bus owners and as they refer to themselves online, busnuts. I have learned the things I need to be looking for and the signs I should be noticing. This brake chamber did not fail overnight and had I known what to look for it "might" not have failed along side the road. Mechanical things fail. Sometimes they fail without any warning or reason and at the worst possible moment. But this part failed over time. Now I know the signs. It is up to me to be looking for them.

Are you learning as you go? I want to!

Travel Day - Nashville, Tennessee to Ellisville, Mississippi

We left Nashville at 5:30 Friday morning and arrived in Ellisville, Mississippi around 12:30. It was a about 415 miles and everything went smooth. The storms that were forecast never materialized but the temperatures dropped a bunch as the front moved through and the winds were very high. We rocked back and forth but made it safely here.

We are starting revival here in Ellisville for Pastor Kenny Morris on Sunday morning. Hopefully we will be able to rest some today. I have been wound pretty tight with the BoggsMobile in the shop so even though we were only in church one night this week I was drained by the time Ellisville came into view. A couple of good nights of sleep and I will be ready to go.

After we arrived yesterday we went with Bro. and Sis. Morris and met some of their church folks at a great seafood buffet in Magee, Mississippi. Wow! What a place! I nearly ate my weight (OK, slight exaggeration, but only slight) in oysters, shrimp and steak. The name of the place is Berry's and I highly recommend it. I have some pictures below, of course...

We are looking forward to getting back to normal in the BoggsMobile. Odie is settled back in her bunk and we are ready for revival. Thanks for praying for us the last several days. Your prayer to God for us often sustain us and we appreciate it very much.

God bless,

Davy

Hitch and Engine Cradle Replacement - 1996 Prevost

Prevost finished with the BoggsMobile Thursday afternoon and I was glad to see it pull out of their shop into the beautiful sunshine. It was a great day to travel but we stayed put since we would have been very late getting to our destination and there is no need to hurry. I am so used to rushing that I have to remind myself to slow down when there's no reason to run.

The second reason we waited is because they were calling for the possibility of severe storms along our route. I would rather endure a storm parked here than driving through it. Especially since we don't have to be in Ellisville, Mississippi until Saturday evening. If all goes as planned we will be on the road early today and arrive by afternoon. It is only about 415 miles which takes 7-8 hours in the BoggsMobile.

All the work is completed and everything seems to be in working order. We drove it two exits north on I-65 and back to the shop. The brakes are good, the air pressure is good and the engine stayed in place. Thank God it is completed.

Here are a few pictures. Not as exciting as Cruise pictures but neat just the same. Thank you for praying for us.
