Thursday was a transitional day but not a travel day. We closed school revival Thursday morning and started revival at Victory Holiness Church in Hanford Thursday night. We had planned to move the bus to the RV park at the fairgrounds in Hanford about one mile from the church. But I woke up feeling about as rough as I did last week so I took Pastor Spencer up on his offer to leave the bus at Riverdale and drive back and forth. It is only about a 30 minute drive.
Revival At Riverdale
I posted pictures from revival at Riverdale Assembly yesterday. We had a wonderful revival in the four short days we were there. We really had a breakthrough Wednesday night and it was a great blessing to watch the people of God enjoy His presence. In fact, our family was busy enjoying the presence of the Lord for ourselves. It was really wonderful.
I appreciate Pastor Spencer and all of the leadership team at Riverdale. They have always embraced us with such kind hospitality each time we have been here over the last 10 years. We always look forward to coming back again. We will get to see a lot of the folks when we go to Avenal in about 10 days and that will be great.
Last Day of School Revival
I love preaching school revival. I wish I could figure out a way to do it all the time. I love seeing the young folks respond to the Word of God and surrender their lives to Him. Preaching revival at Riverdale Christian Academy is especially fun. This year I preached a new series of messages and I was not really sure how it would go. But God helped and the young folks allowed God to work and move in their hearts each day.
We hated to close out yesterday but it was time to move on. Thanks to Bro. Doug Spencer, Bro. Chuck Spencer and all the student body. We had a wonderful few days with you.
Victory Holiness Church in Hanford, California
We left about 5:15 for Hanford. It is only about 30 minutes from Riverdale to the church but we needed to be there early to set up our sound system. We had heard they had remodeled the sanctuary but it was much nicer than what we had heard. The pictures below can not capture all the changes so you will have to take our word for it. It is really nice.
It is so nice to be with our long time friends at Hanford. Victory Holiness was the second church we preached for on our first trip to California in September 1992. I can not believe folks were kind enough to let me in the pulpit back then. I sure hope and pray I preach a little better now. Surely I have a little more sense now.
That means it has been 22 years since that first visit to California. Odie celebrated her 7th birthday in San Francisco that year. Now she has been in California for three birthdays. She turned 7, 25 and 29 in this beautiful state. We loved California that first trip and we have loved coming back ever since.
We only have three nights at Hanford so we jumped in last night and tried to have all the revival we can. We had a good service and God helped some in the altar. We are asking God to continue His work each and every night.
We did not get many pictures last night but here are the few we have.
Thank you so much for reading each day. I hope you have a great weekend.
Davy
