We did make the drive yesterday in the BoggsMobile to the big city of Buckatunna, Mississippi and then turned out in the country to Red Creek Church of God. We arrived safely before 11:15. The short road out to the church is pretty narrow for the bus meeting other cars but we made it just fine. Both cars we met wisely pulled way over on their side and allowed us to pass through. We pulled into the parking lot and we were set up in just a few minutes.
Because the driving distance was less than 55 miles my travel day was pretty easy. I have the same amount of work on both ends of the trip but the real load falls on Kelly Jo. She has quite a bit to do before we ride and then she has to reverse it all when we get parked. I think she actually prefers the longer travel days since the work is all the same and she has more time to enjoy looking at the scenery as we go by.
We did have another good service last night at Red Creek. We had a good crowd again and great fellowship from local churches. God helped during the preaching and the altar service and we really enjoyed Him moving among us. Praise God for His help.
Bro. Darius Templeton was one of the Pastors that came tonight. I really appreciate him coming so far to be with us after having just heard us for nine services at his church last week. He heard us sing everything we know and has heard me preach everything I know. Yet he came and was a great encouragement and blessing to our family.
By the way, if you have not started the habit of reading Bro. Darius' daily devotion you should tune in and see what you are missing. I look forward to it every day.
I am typing this but not sure that I will be able to post it. We have glimpses of internet service on our Verizon hotspot but is is very undependable at best. I was able to email a few pictures to the blog at one point so if this goes through then I hope it has pictures below. If it does not post now, then I will add it to a post later in the week.
Thanks for reading.
Davy
