Today is the 239th birthday of America. July 4, 1776 our founding Fathers signed our Declaration of Independence. Our nation was built on a Godly foundation. As an American I am proud of the principles on which our country was founded.
Yesterday while getting info for this post I reread our Declaration. It is a wonderful document. I know Thomas Jefferson along with many others spent many long hours agonizing to get it exactly right. The 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were some amazing men. They had a vision for us to have a free and Christ centered nation. Here is a clip that tells the stories behind the signers.
Many men fought and died so we could be a free people. I will forever be thankful for their unselfish sacrifices for freedom! I was moved to tears when I reflected on what freedom cost! Freedom is truly never free! Thank you if you have served our nation in our Military!
Today I wish the United State of America a Happy Birthday! I pray for mercy, grace and revival! We need to return to God! I leave you with this reminder.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
