We wrapped up the week at Cedar Creek with the Allentown Fellowship Youth Rally on Friday night. It was great to see friends from all over the area and to enjoy the blessings of God with them.
We came to this area for the first time in the late 80's and these folks have really been good to us through the years. Their friendship has proven solid and faithful and we praise God for the family of God in the greater Mobile area.
Having Bro. Darius and Sis. Kim Templeton here (They are originally from our home church) is like icing on the cake! We loved being with them all week long!

We will begin this Weekend Weview post with a few pictures from Friday night.
We intended to leave very early Saturday morning but with heavy storms in the area, we decided to wait a while and let some of them pass over. We hooked up and pulled out about 8:00 AM.
As we were moving east, we were catching the "red" part of the storm so we stopped for fuel and a snack while still in Alabama. By the time we left there, the sun was shining and it was beautiful. That only lasted about 30 minutes and we were right back into the thick of the storm.
We drove in it the rest of the day.
We stopped at the Flying J in Tallahassee and emptied the holding tanks. It was raining when we stopped but it came a torrential downpour right in the middle of the process. While I was getting soaked, I raised up and hit my head on the bay door. I hit my head so hard that I almost collapsed into the water that was running 2-3 inches deep at my feet.
It would have been pretty funny if I was watching someone else from the window, but I was not watching someone else, it was me!😂

After about 10 hours, we finally pulled into First Assembly in Douglas, Georgia.
We averaged 46 MPH for the day. It was a long, hard, stressful driving day. Every long travel day we have had so far this year has been challenging in some way. It has been very high winds, snow, rain or some combination of these every time. But there have been times that we have went several months without driving in bad weather at all, so I think we can take it.
Even if the long, stressful driving days continue, there is a bright side to the whole story. I do feel like I am in the will of God and I could be Pastoring a church!
Pastor Adcock was here at the church to help us get backed in and settled. After a hot meal and a few moments to relax, we were all feeling better.
The storms rolled through all night and at 5:00 AM Odie's phone woke her up with a tornado warning. It was not raining much at the moment but after looking things over, we decided to take cover.
I had carried the sound equipment inside Saturday night so we figured it might be a good time to set it all up. The sanctuary has brick walls and no windows so it seemed as good as any place to take shelter during the warning period.
They lifted the tornado warning at 6:30 AM but we could not catch a break in the rain until 7:00. We had a small break and got Odie loaded in the bus without all of us getting completely soaked. Nothing like a little excitement on Sunday morning.
Of course, the storm provided a lot more than excitement for a bunch of folks in Mississippi Saturday and in Georgia Sunday. The damage is devastating for many families. The property loss is probably more than some can bear but the loss of life is even worse. We are praying for God's help.
It was still storming Sunday morning and it looked like we might not be able to have church. Pastor Adcock decided to go ahead and God really blessed the service.
We not only had a good service Sunday morning, but we had a great service Sunday night as well. The weather was stormy all day and that prevented some from being able to attend church in the evening, but we still had a great crowd.`
I am believing the Sunday services are a good indication of what is to come all this week. May God give us a revival of salvation, healing and deliverance.
