Hey Friends,
This is Odie checking in from Lawton, Oklahoma.
We had five good nights of revival here with Pastor Brandon Murray and the congregation at Landmark Holiness Church in Lawton. It has been great to visit with our friends once again.
First of all thank you for every call, text, email, blog comment and card for my birthday. My family and friends went way overboard to make me feel special. I appreciate all of the love.
Today we will journey back to Oklahoma City. Revival begins Sunday night at Calvary Holiness Church. We are anticipating a fabulous week with Pastor Kenny Searcy and our friends in Midwest City, Oklahoma. You are invited to join us for revival. We will be there through Friday night. Please pray for revival. I am praying for God to do mighty miracles this week. Nothing is impossible for my God!
My time at Mt. Vernon Holiness Church in Oklahoma week before last was made much brighter by getting to be with several of our friends. It is impossible for me to include everyone that we saw last week in this post, but I do want to share some highlights. Some of these pictures were in earlier blogs, but there are also a few new photos that I received from friends after the previous posts were prepared.
Tuesday we spent a couple hours with my cousin Deirdre and her husband Ben. My time with Deirdre went by way too fast, but I am grateful for the time we had to visit.
Three times in one week we got to be with Jeffery, Rebecca, Madelyn and Andrea Blankenship. I was happy for each time that we could be together.
Javonia Searcy is a sweetheart and brightens my world every day. Just thinking about Javonia brings a smile to my face.
I had the privilege of visiting Mt Vernon Holiness Church often while growing up. I have watched an entire group of kids grow from being infants to adults. Now most of them are raising their own children. I enjoyed getting to catch up with my friends last week. Plus I was able to get to know their kids better.
Fun fact: I started kindergarten at Mt. Vernon in the fall of 1991. I went to their Christian school for two weeks while Dad was preaching revival at the church. Sharla Clounch was in that kindergarten class. She is now Sharla Young and married with 3 ”Young” children.
😀
Bro. Mitch Boggs, Sis. Lynn and 4 of their boys surprised us Friday evening. It was amazing to see all of them Friday night and Saturday morning!
The surprises continued on Saturday night. I was singing during church when I realized that our dear friend Esther Richards had slipped in during the service. She drove all the way from Wichita to be with us for one service. Thank you, Esther, for making my day! You are awesome, my friend, and we love you so much!
Then Bro. Rickey totally surprised me with a birthday cake. It was a delicious chocolate cake!
Bro. Rickey has been spoiling me for most of my life! Thank you so much to Bro Rickey, Sis. Sharon and their church family for making this a wonderful birthday! I appreciate everything all of you have poured into my life through the years. I pray God blesses you abundantly for your kindness to me!
I grew up with Leah Meyers Mooter at Dryden Rd. in Dayton. Our families were always close. Leah married in Oklahoma and it was wonderful to see her again too.

A lot of my friends sacrificed time out of their busy schedules to come visit us. I am thankful for each of them that came to fellowship meeting!
Sunday morning was Pastor Appreciation. It was an honor to get to be there for this occasion. Bro Rickey, Sis. Sharon and their family have been an instrumental part of my life. I thank God for them!

While celebrating Pastor Appreciation at a local restaurant, they got me again for my birthday.
I love my parents. Thank you for giving me life.

It was great to see my friend Landon at dinner on Sunday!
That wraps up my fabulous week. Thank you again for helping to make it grand! I am grateful that you stopped by to visit today. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
