Hey Friends,
Happy Easter weekend. This Odie reporting in from the road. This week was wonderful in Brooks, Kentucky. We enjoyed being with Pastor Philip Webb and the congregation at Calvary Holiness. It was so great to see several friends from the area this week too.
Today the BoggsMobile is pointed toward Owensburg, Indiana. We will be starting revival tomorrow at Tunnel Hill through Thursday night. I am anticipating a good revival the week ahead with Pastor Dallas Lakes and our friends in Indiana.
The One I’m Dying For
This is a great holiday weekend that we look forward to very much. Easter is not about the bunnies, candy, eggs or even new clothes. For the Christian, it is a time that we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus selflessly gave His life to redeem us! He became a willing sacrifice for our sins. Now we can have eternal life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank God that Jesus died for our sins and on the third day He arose from the grave. Praise God, my Savior is alive!
Earlier this week I read the story in the Bible about Barabbas. Barabbas was a murderer and he was sentenced to die. On the day that Jesus was on trial, Pilate the Governor of the people offered to release a prisoner to the people. The book of Mark calls Barabbas a "notable prisoner”. The people overwhelmingly cried to release Barabbas and crucify Jesus.
I have wondered about Barabbas. Did he become a believer and a recipient of Grace? Jesus died for all, including murders like Barabbas and sinners like me and like you. Because of the sacrifice of Christ, grace and redemption from sin are still available today. Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord can and will be saved.
Are you are searching for peace in your life today? Your search can end at Calvary because grace is available for you this very moment. You are the reason Jesus gave His life on the cross.
I was reminded this week of a phenomenal song, You're The One I'm Dying For. It was recorded by the Isaacs on their Big Sky project. The song was penned by my cousins Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Becky Isaacs Bowman and their friend Ronnie Bowman. The lyrics of this incredible song brings the story of Barabbas to life. I wanted to share it with you here.
Below I have posted song lyrics. Click here for a link to a YouTube video. This specific video was recorded in Norway several years ago.
You can click here for the song on Apple Music.

You’re The One I’m Dying For
Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Becky Isaacs Bowman and Ronnie Bowman
Outside I hear them talking
Could it be it's me they're mocking
An eye for an eye is all that matters anymore
Pilate put me in this prison
And I deserve what I've been given
A life for a life and that's the one I'm dying for
I caught the eye of a man who was beaten
I saw the truth even I believed him
Now I can tell from my cell, who they're wantin' more
I hear them cry, "Release Barabbas!"
In disbelief I turned to Jesus
He looked at me and
He said go free you're the one I'm dying for
For the one who is hurting
And the one who has done wrong
For the one who needs healing
And feels like hope is gone
For the weary who can't carry his cross anymore
You're the one, You're the one I'm dying for
For the one with all the questions
And the one who just believes
For the one who casts the first stone
And the one down on her knees
For the weary who can't carry his cross anymore
You're the one You're the one
You're the one
You're the one I'm dying for
Thanks for visiting with me today. I pray that you have a marvelous weekend.
Odie
