The Ville Platte Gazette

Special Note: Bro. Samuel from the church here in Cantonment is very low physically. It seems he could slip into eternity at any moment. Most of the church folks will be there with him and his precious family so revival at Beams of Light has been canceled. 

It is times like this when we are especially glad for the family of God to take their places in support of each other. We are praying for Bro. Samuel and his family and we ask that you join us in praying for them. Bro. Samuel is a tremendous man and a wonderful Christian gentleman. Davy

Back to regular programming:

I do not know if we can top making it into the Jackson County Sun earlier this year. That is pretty big. However, we did make the paper for the second time this year. This time it was the Ville Platte Gazette.

The Gazette sent a representative to the very first night of the tent revival in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. Two days later, they published an article on the front page of the Lifestyles section of the paper. They included some pictures from the first night and gave a summation of Tuesday night's sermon and pretty much nailed it.

So I was preaching to a few more thousand people that first night than I thought I was! Pretty cool, the goal is to get the Word of God to the people, right?
