Today we begin the long journey home. I have double checked the weather along our preferred route (I-17, I-40, I-44, I-70, I-74 and I-71) and it looks clear. Although we will have some very cold temperatures on the first part of this route, there is zero chance of precipitation in any of the major cities along the way over the next few days. Hallelujah! Let us hope and pray it stays that way.
There is no forecast for high winds on the route and that is a big plus too. In 2017, we took the southern route (I-10, I-20, I-30, I-40, I-65 and I-71) home because of the snow and super high wind forecast. We like that route too, but it is about 200 miles further and every mile counts when we are in a hurry.
They have had some snow at home, but we are hoping for a sunny Christmas with brown grass this year.

There is another reason that we need to take our preferred route home. We are supposed to pick up our new tent top on the way through. If it was snowing there, we would be in trouble.
I told you back in November about ordering the new two piece tent top for our revival tent. I have been in contact with Miami Missionary Tent Company this week and the new top was scheduled to be finished Wednesday afternoon. As far as I know, it was completed.
Pastor Jimmy Millikin is going to drive to Miami this morning to pick it up for me. He will get the top to me as we pass through Oklahoma on our way home Friday evening or more likely, Saturday. Miami Missionary Tent Company will be closed for the holidays beginning Friday, so I can not make it there before they close.
I appreciate Bro. Jimmy going way beyond the call of duty and taking care of all of that for me. May God bless our dear friend.
We paid the deposit (Half of the total) when we ordered the tent in November and we paid the second half yesterday evening. We received $1000 from one family for the tent and that helped a lot. Thank you, friends.
While you are going about your work and your daily duties, we will be driving most of the next four days. Ask God to protect us, guide us and keep the BoggsMobile running smooth. We have a long way to go and not much time to spare if we are going to spend Christmas with our families.
Thank you for joining us today.
Davy
