What's Up, Weekend? 6/15/2020

Some of the events this weekend deserve their own post, but I will give you an overview of our super weekend. It was busy, fun, included lots of church, time with special friends and a little travel like all wonderful weekends.

First, Odie gave me some pictures and details from her weekend.

From Odie: Skyline time for lunch on Friday. I had a driveway picnic with Lisa

Mamaw and Papaw stopped by for a visit. Happy 57th wedding anniversary to them.

Friday and Saturday I spent time in the recording studio, virtually. The Isaacs were streaming their recording process live on YouTube.

Saturday evening Mamaw came over for a visit on the porch.

Sunday Church on Mixlr with Dryden Road.

Sunday afternoon I had a Driveway Picnic with Mamaw, Papaw and Lisa. We enjoyed Alcapulco!

Thank you for all of that Odie.

Friday we finished our trip to Wichita. I will tell you more about that evening another day this week.

Saturday we picked up our rental car and drove to Oklahoma City. We were there to attend a retirement celebration for Pastor Rickey Searcy. It was a great afternoon and evening.

Saturday night and Sunday night we stayed in Moore, Oklahoma so we could be at both services Sunday at Crosslight Chapel in Moore. We love being with Pastor Lendell Birdsong, Sis. Cyndi Birdsong and their wonderful congregation.

Normally Crosslight buses in a few dozen people to the services, but due to the pandemic, they are not allowed to bus people to church yet without restrictions. I love preaching there and even without the men and women they normally bring in, we had a wonderful crowd and even better services.

We loved every moment of it.

God has blessed crosslight abundantly and they really need more room. We are praying with them for God's provision and direction. They are reaching people for Christ. They are reaching people that are on the streets, halfway houses and jails.

I know that God blesses and helps churches that focus on ministering to people that are commonly overlooked or even cast aside. I believe God is going to continue to help and bless them.

Even though Odie was not with us, we did manage to get some pictures yesterday. I think Odie will be proud of us.😀

That wraps up the weekend. Thank you for joining us on Mile Markers.

Davy
