Hey Friends,
This is Odie reporting in again. How are things going in your life? It is good to visit with you today.
Recently I was listening to some songs that were popular during my teenage years. There was a lot of fabulous music during that period. I came across a song with a great message. The lyrics of a song caused me to stop and think about my life.
Thankful
The song reminded me to be thankful for everything. Remembered what the Bible says in I Thessalonians 5:18?
"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
My desire is to be in the will of God! I am going to use this moment to be thankful for everything. God has blessed me abundantly. He has answered more prayers than I could ever count. The uncertain time that we have been living in has reminded me to praise my God for everything more than ever.
I have experienced numerous huge miracles in the past. Currently, I have a list of miracles that I am praying to see. I believe that He is well able to answer all of my prayers! I look forward to testifying about more miracles.
The Little Things
Here is a small list of little things that I am thinking of today. I normally would have taken these things for granted, but now I realize that they are special blessings. I know these items are not required for life, but these are privileges that make life much easier. I am thanking God for these things.
- My comfortable house.
- Attending church services.
- The ability to hug my family and friends.
- Water and electricity always available.
- Heating and air-conditioning at the click of a button.
- Food to eat and grocery delivery services.
- Toilet paper, disinfectant products and hand sanitizer.
- My wheelchairs that help me get around.
- Truck Drivers that keep our country supplied.
- The people that look out for our health.
- Technology that helps us stay informed and connected.
- Safety, health and freedom.
I will give you the lyrics that inspired me to think about the little things. Click here to listen to the song on YouTube. The song is titled The Little Things. It was recorded by Chosen Few and Brian Arnold wrote the song.
The Little ThingsVerse 1I used to pray God would part the seaThat He would be there standing looking back at meThere would be a sign a miracle or twoAnd I would know exactly what He wanted me to doThat's how I would prayUntil the dayI looked at the sun shining in the skyI heard the birds He sent to sing a lullabyI felt a breeze blow across my faceThen I realized that every day I know His graceLord I stand amazed I'm amazedChorusIt's the little things that I can't live withoutIt's more than just miracles God is all aboutIt's the little things that hold my life togetherI don't need a parting seaAnd every day I wake up I ask GodFor more of the little thingsVerse 2Once I sought to see the face of GodI prayed with all my might He'd let me seeThen I saw some children playing so alive and carefreeAnd I heard God softly whisper that's meOnce I understood I began to seeThat with everything God was reaching out to meIn a helping hand or a loving smileHe was showing me that He was right there all the whileWith me every mile showing meChorusIt's the little things that I can't live withoutIt's more than just miracles God is all aboutIt's the little things that hold my life togetherI don't need a parting seaAnd every day I wake up I ask GodFor more of the little thingsTagAnd every day I wake up I ask GodFor more of the little things
In closing, Friend, I want to remind you that God is working for you right now. You do not have a need that is too big or small. Are you struggling to believe that God is hearing your prayers? I encourage you to make a list of the little things that He has blessed you with.
Thanks for reading. I hope you have a great weekend.
