A Day Set Aside For Remembering

Papaw Eugene
Yesterday was a very special day, my Papaw Eugene's birthday. He deserves to be celebrated all weekend. My Papaw is one of the best men on this earth! I wish all of you could really know him. 

We are blessed to have him in our lives! I thank God for handpicking an incredible grandfather for me and my cousins. 

I wanted to take a moment to wish my Papaw a very Happy Birthday! Papaw, I love you with all my heart! Thanks for loving me and for being amazing! You are my hero!

Memorial Day
This is Memorial Day weekend and Monday is Memorial Day 2021.  This is a national holiday that is officially set aside to remember the countless men and women, that have given their lives for our country. I appreciate my fellow American's ultimate sacrifices for the freedoms that we enjoy today! 

Our soldier's stories are not fictional. They are, in fact, true history. We have visited Arlington National Cemetery, Gettysburg, and many other memorials honoring our fallen soldiers. It is a sobering thought when I pause to remember what these memorials stand for. They gave their all for our country!

There is a song that really brings things into perspective for me. This song has been rolling through my heart this week. I decided to share it with you today.

It is titled More Than a Name On A Wall. This is a beautiful song and melody! I encourage you to really savor these lyrics today. I hope you enjoy More Than a Name On A Wall too.
