It Has Been An Amazing Week!

It has been a great week in the midwest and we are rolling into a wonderful weekend. First, I need to catch up with a few pictures from setting up sound in Wichita last week. I missed these somehow so here they are.

As we were finishing soundcheck I enjoyed getting to sing with my brother and Bro. Dennis Dailey from Wichita. It was a lot of fun!

After closing revival in Wichita Sunday, we crammed as much rest as we could into Monday. We slept as late as possible and lazed around all morning.

KJo fixed tacos for lunch and Steve ate with us.

I spent the afternoon in the chapel at Bethany recording and editing a couple videos for A Word For Wednesday. This was one of them.

Monday evening we went with Steve to a Chinese buffet that was very good. We especially enjoyed the food and visiting with my brother.

While we were eating, Odie, Karen and Esther went to see the Gaither Vocal Band at a church.

Tuesday morning the Jeep needed some attention. One of the tires had a very slow leak and the Jeep needed an oil change. Steve took me up the road to a family owned tire shop and they took care of the leak in a few minutes. They found a small nail in the tire and another small hole. Ouch!

Next, Steve took me to the oil change place that he uses and they took care of the oil change. Much to my surprise, the oil for my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is 0w20 and is only available in full synthetic or blended synthetic. Wow! No more cheap oil changes for me.

They also took care of a couple other things to make my day complete and soon we were on our way.

We said goodbye to Steve and cranked the bus, unhooked the utilities, attached the Jeep and we were on our way to Oklahoma City by about 12:30 PM Tuesday.

Revival did not begin until Wednesday, but resting and traveling as wisely as possible is part of my recuperation plan. I wanted to make most of the trip Tuesday and make it easy to move into position Wednesday.

We stopped at Love's in Tonkawa, Kansas to empty our holding tanks. It is kind of rare to find a dumping station at a Love's and extremely rare for Love's to actually put it somewhere on the lot that we can access. They only have so much space and their main focus is big trucks and we understand that.

The one in Tonkawa is not perfect, but it is probably the best one we have seen at a Love's. We used it going into Wichita last week too, so we are regulars.😁 As I drove through the parking lot I was on the lookout for gunslingers after this blew by.

We went on toward OKC, stopping once more to fill the bus with diesel. We were probably 600 miles from needing to stop, but I was thinking about traveling from Oklahoma to western Kentucky next week. I have a long ways to go Monday through Wednesday morning and I want to make that trip as easy as possible.

We spent a very stormy Tuesday night in a Walmart parking lot and we came through fine. We parked purposefully between two trucks, but the BoggsMobile was shaking in the wind more than any of us can remember happening before.

The wind was so strong that the rocking bus would wake us up out of a dead sleep. Thankfully, I was able to go back to sleep each time.

Wednesday morning we finished the trip to the church, parked, hooked up, loaded in equipment, set up and retired to the BoggsMobile for KJo's tacos again! Yummy!

We have had two wonderful nights of revival with Bro. and Sis. Birdsong and their great congregation at Crosslight. Hallelujah! Praise God! We are anticipating great things the next four services!

It has been so good to have Bro. and Sis. DiZazzo and my brother Steve and my dear sister in law Karen with us in Moore, Oklahoma. That is a special treat for us and we are so thankful.

I will let Odie tell you later about these pictures below.

Thank you for joining us for a few minutes today.
