Hey Friends,
This is Odie reporting in for another Saturday. I am thrilled to be home. I will fill you in on my travels home on another day. Right now. I am working on getting settled in. Also, I am excited to see my family and friends!
Today's post is a friendly reminder the clock changes tonight for most of our readers in America.
When the clocks fall back every year, I remember a classic Odie blunder. I can not find any record of sharing it here. This happened over 20 years ago when we lived in Wichita, Kansas.
It was the fall time change weekend. I was thrilled to be gaining the extra hour to sleep. I reminded everyone I talked to on Saturday, "Change your clocks tonight."
Sunday morning, my alarm went off. I proceeded to get ready for church as usual. I was completely prepared to walk out the door. That is when I discovered my blunder.
I thought the current time was 9:15. When in reality, it was 8:15. I had forgotten to change my clock. Yes, me the person who reminded everyone to change their clocks, forgot. Therefore I missed my beloved extra hour of sleep! Oh my goodness, I was so aggravated!
This is a mistake that I have never made again. We get a good laugh out of my blunder every year. At least I was not late that day!
Who knew I was creating blog material back then? I hope I have given you a chuckle today. You can learn from my mistake too.
Thanks for stopping by to visit with me today. See you next time.
Odie
Hallelujah…….I do enjoy the extra hour of sleep; however, I don’t like it getting dark so early. See you down the road.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the darkness either. I would be happy if we did not change times. See you down the road, somewhere...
