Happy Mother's Day 2023

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting again this weekend from the home front. I hope you are having a great weekend. Thank you for choosing to spend a moment of your time with me.

Tomorrow is a very special day across the United States of America! It is a day we reserve to celebrate Mother's. They definitely deserve extra thanks and attention!

Let me wish every Mom reading this post a Happy Mother's Day! I know being a Mom is, most of the time, a thankless job. Mothers are some of this planet's most selfless, patient, hardworking, and caring women. You are incredible humans! Thank you for all you do for your family.

I have been blessed with several extraordinary ladies that have influenced my life. I thank God for placing each of these women in my path! I am grateful to each of you for your love and friendship! Thank you for pouring into my life.

I have two of the most magnificent grandmothers in the world! They did a fabulous job raising my parents! Now for 37 years, they have been my Gran and Mamaw! I love them both so very much! I happily share them with the other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gran and Mamaw always have more than enough love to go around! They are a blessing to all of their families!

Now it is time to honor the real lady of the hour, my own Mother, Kelly Jo Boggs. She is Super Mom, and I am honored to call her Mom!

 

When God hand picked my Mother, He chose the best one for me! She works harder than anyone I know. Mom's focus is always ensuring Dad and I are well cared for. Her own needs and wishes get pushed to the back burner without question.

I always try to express my love and appreciation for my Mama daily. A few times a year, I mention it here in writing. Mom always deserves a boatload of recognition for her role as my Mother!

I know I am not the child she dreamed about having one day. Nobody thinks, oh, I hope my child has special needs. I want to dedicate my life to being a caregiver.

From day one, motherhood came with challenges. Mom has never complained, nor is she bitter at God. Mom handled the hardships like a champion.

She is, instead, my biggest cheerleader, advocate and friend! Mom is my rock and place of safety on rough days! I am blessed beyond measure to have her as my Mother!

Mama, I love you more than words can express! Thank you for being my Mother! I think you are the World's Best Mom! I hope you receive an extra blessing this weekend from God! Happy Mother's Day 2023!
