Hey Friends,
This is Odie reporting for this Sunday's post. Yesterday was a two post kind of day. Check both of them out here and here if you missed seeing them.
They are both worth reading! The morning post was about our precious friend Dorcas in Nigeria. The second one was a Saturday Evening Post. It was an encouraging update from my mother about Dad. We praise God for each movement of forward progress in Dad's recovery.
I was getting ready for church this morning when I received a YouTube notification on my phone. Dad posted a video from the hospital. I immediately opened the video! This is what my eyes and heart saw!
I had a little church right here in my bedroom! He's An On Time God, even on a frigid January day!
Then I had to share the good news with you! Please keep praying for a complete miracle! God is at work. I know the family of God has been going to war on our behalf! We are so thankful for the grace of God in the last 16 days!

Only our God can do this 🙌🙌

DeleteBro. Davy,
ReplyDeleteEarly Sunday morning while I was reading the Word I came upon this note in my Bible from a sermon you preached in 2013 at our church. And I felt to share it with you.
We typically think that words of encouragement come from the Word, from our brothers & sisters in the Lord, from a card or letter, etc. But how encouraging it must be that words YOU spoke, Bro. Davy, by the unction of the Holy Spirit about 10 years ago, can come back and lift you! At least I believe it will. Our prayers are with you and for you thru this recovery.

“John is struggling, his faith is in a crisis. (Had not always been this way. Before when God spoke to him, he just stepped out and did whatever he was told to do! Exhorting people, preaching repentance, etc.) John is sitting in prison and Jesus has not rescued him v3... Then v 4 "Go show John.
" Then v6 "Don't be offended..." Then John
knew that He was God whether he got him out of jail or not.
How do we reconcile when once Jesus has heard and answered our prayers and our faith is clear and then later when He hears but doesn't answer the prayer that we prayed..
...our faith gets clouded, confused.
Faith that is convinced..faith that says I'm not going to get mad at God whether He answers my prayer or not...He's still God!
Don't stop seeking, don't stop believing! But serve Him every moment of every day just like He has already done everything that I've asked Him to do.
If I could understand God like I think I should be able to...what kind of God would He be?
Blessed is He whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
Thank you for sharing! our faith is convinced!
