The Weekend Dispatch 7/29/24

That was an eventful weekend for sure. I am interested to see how my body responds today, but I enjoyed every moment of the weekend! Odie and KJo captured a bunch of great pictures from the weekend events, but I am struggling with Blogger a bit. I have a few pictures today, but I will get the rest soon.

I mentioned Friday that we were at Dryden on Thursday. That was followed by a Summer Revival Series service on Friday. I really enjoyed that service too. Odie took a behind the scenes picture from the cheap seats.

Saturday was the big day to celebrate my Mother's 80th birthday next door at Dodds Fellowship Hall. It was a full day with lots of food and a tremendous amount of friends and family with us for the big day.

Several of Mom's nieces and nephews were there and a bunch of them drove from Kentucky. It was wonderful to have everyone there. It was a truly happy day.

I will try to post more pictures later in the week.

Saturday and Sunday we were with Pastor Randy Brown and the Corwin Pentecostal Church. It was a wonderful weekend of services with friends and family. Kelly and I both have a long history at Corwin going back to our childhood and we always love being there and preaching there.

It was nice to have a special visitor to Corwin on Saturday evening. Jeff Haines is the man who did the HVAC on the house built for Odie and he has become a good friend. My cousin invited him and he was gracious to come.

We were in five services on Thursday through Sunday and I preached four of them. As I said earlier, I am interested to see how my body handles it. I sure loved it while in the moment.

I will try to lay low this week as much as possible while gearing up for another big weekend. Thank you for joining us today.

Davy
