The Weekend Dispatch 9/30/24

Friday was the final day of Revival in Richton, Mississippi with Pastor Scott Morris, Sis. Kim and the church in Richton. We enjoyed a fantastic service the last night. Praise God! We posted lots of pictures from the week of revival on Friday.

The Richton revival around this time each year is usually a tent revival so it has been a number of years since I have preached a whole week of revival for them indoors. I missed tent revival horribly but the revival was excellent all the way through.

We appreciate our dear friends in Richton, Mississippi for their friendship and love toward us for many years. May God bless you all for your kindness and hospitality.

Steve and Karen had been with us all day Thursday and stayed over with us for lunch Friday. It was super to have them.

Thank you for praying for us during revival and into the weekend. We sure appreciate it. Here are a few pictures from Friday in Richton and then I will be back with more color commentary.

Saturday we were in no hurry as we were going less than 32 miles to Ellisville. Bro Scott helped us get going in Richton and Bro Andy Stringfellow helped us set up in Ellisville.

Sunday we were in Ellisville for Homecoming and we were really looking forward to it. Pastor Kenny Morris invited us for Homecoming and he and the church welcomed us with open arms. The Homecoming service was outstanding and the Lord touched us in the altar.

We met Pastor Kenny Morris in North Carolina in June 2005. He invited us to preach in Ellisville and we have been coming to Ellisville ever since. Bro. Kenny and Sis. Joan, Bro Andy and Sis. Tina and all the folks there have become family to us and we love them very much. It felt right for us to be at Homecoming this year.

Odie captured a bunch of pictures and we will close out The Weekend Dispatch with them. Thank you for stopping in.
