Happy 60th Birthda, Lisa

Hey Friends,

This is Odie coming to you this fine Saturday. I hope you are doing well. God has been so good to us this week. I am grateful for His daily blessings for our family.

For the November Saturday posts, I want to focus on people and things for which I am extra thankful. The link to last week's post is here, if you missed it.

Happy 60th Birthday, Lisa!

Today I am focused on an extraordinary person who is special to me! She is our cousin Lisa Isaacs. We are so thankful for Lisa Isaacs!I truly do not know what we would do without her. Sprinkled in this post a various Lisa pictures from my camera roll. She has a milestone birthday in just a few days.

November 12th 1964 the world became better with the birth of Lisa. She was the second child born to my Uncle Delmar and Aunt Connie. Lisa grew up to be a wonderful lady. In high school God changed her life. She has dedicated her life to living for him.

Lisa is happiest when she is helping others. She is an absolutely selfless person. Her goal is to make someone else day better!

She does so much for our entire family behind the scenes. If she hears of a need Lisa is first to offer her services of assistance.

I can not tell you how much she always helps me when I am home. When Dad was in the hospital and rehab she was always there for me. The first night she came to my house just to give me a hug and pray with me. She was extremely helpful in getting my home ready for my parents to stay with me.

Thank you and I love you, Lisa feels so hollow, but I mean those words with my whole heart! I can not truly express my love, gratitude and appreciation for this wonderful lady!

Lisa, happy 60th birthday! I want you to feel extra loved and celebrated for your milestone birthday! You are awesome and deserving of a fantastic birthday! May this be your best year of life yet!

Thank you for reading. Please leave a comment below with a birthday message for Lisa. I will make sure that she sees them! See you next time.

Another Year Living In The Goodness Of God

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from Oklahoma again this week. I have so enjoyed being with many wonderful friends.

This weekend, we are singing at the fellowship meeting at Bethany Holiness Church. It is always a pleasure to be with Pastor Darrell Toliver and the Bethany church family!

Monday marked the beginning of another year in my life. My family and friends overwhelmed me with love and kindness and made my birthday extra special. My birthday was definitely a happy one in 2024.

The Lord has abundantly blessed me. For the last couple of years, my testimony song has been The Goodness of God. I have lived the words of this song all of my life. Every time I hear this song, it moves me to tears, thinking of the bountiful blessings that God has poured out upon my life. I would not be here without His goodness to me!

I have featured the song Goodness Of God in a previous post. My favorite group, The Isaacs, recently released the song too. Now I have a new favorite version! Today was a great day to feature The Isaacs singing my testimony.

Goodness Of God is available now, and a full worship project from the Isaacs releases next week. I am so excited to have new music from the Isaacs!

I hope you enjoyed the song too! My prayer is for all of us to remember God’s amazing goodness in our lives! Let us pause for a moment and praise God one more time!

Thanks for joining me today! I will see you next time. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Odie's 39th Birthday!

Sunday night the Westside church helped celebrate Odie's birthday and Monday was her actual 39th Birthday. She normally chooses some kind of sauerkraut food, but this year she chose Los Cabos in Broken Arrow. It did not matter to here that the Millikins took us there last week, she was ready!

Odie was born on a Monday evening in 1985 and here we were celebrating 39 years on a Monday again. What a joy! We had a great meal and a great day. KJo and Odie shopped the evening away.

Odie has celebrated her birthdays in a variety of states and she has written about that before. This is four years in a row that she has celebrated in Oklahoma. That may be some kind of record plus she was in Oklahoma one day after her birthday five years ago.

Happy Birthday, Odie. Thank you for spending it with us.

I have to admit, Odie made a super choice in choosing Los Cabos.

Even though I am limited as to what I can eat, I can eat their roasted salsa and verde salsa with a spoon if need be.

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes this week.

The Weekend Dispatch 10/14/24

We had a wonderful weekend in Claremore, Oklahoma.  I am sure we will have many pictures to prove it, but for now, I want you to know the weekend was grand.

Our dear friends from far and near have overwhelmed us with visits during this revival, but they really stepped it up this weekend. They have let us know by their words and presence how good it is to see us out here on the road and we appreciate it very much.

If you tuned in Friday, you probably noticed several visitors including Bro, Mitch Boggs Jr. and Sis. Lynn. They were there the first night. It is always wonderful to see our dear friends walk into revival and Mitch and Lynn do it regularly.

Friday night, three of Bro. Mitch's sisters brought all or part of their families to revival at Claremore. It was awesome to see three families from a couple hours away.

That same night we also had Bro Philip and Sis. Sweden from Russellville, Arkansas

Bro Greg and Sis Teresa Moore

And Pastor Tim Laurito from Neosho, Missouri

Saturday our great friends visited from a few hours away in Oklahoma.

Bro. Larry and Sis. Rosemary Landress

And Bro. Jeffery and Sis Rebecca Blankenship and their girls.

Also, two of the Holmes kids from Sand Springs and Terry Cummins and Kyle Prisock were visiting.

Bro Larry and Sis Rosemary stayed over for Sunday morning and lunch.

Sunday evening Missionary David Lloyd was in church with us along with his wife and one of their sons. It was wonderful to see them.

Sunday night after church was Pastor Appreciation for the Millikin family and a birthday celebration for Odie. It was a super great way to wrap up the weekend,

Thank you for joining us today. Tomorrow we will have another Revival In Pictures post.

Happy 30th Birthday Jacqueline

Hey Friends,

This is Odie coming to you from the BoggsMobile again today. I hope you are doing well.

We have had an excellent week of campmeeting. Being with our friends, Pastor Eddie, Sis. Jan Stringfellow and their church people at Saint Thomas has been wonderful. They are precious people!

It was an honor for us to have a small part in the meeting again this year. I must tell you, Dad preached so good on Sunday and Wednesday nights. God helped him! I was wishing all of you could have been there too.

An added blessing to our family was getting to be with Pastor Kenny Morris, and to hear him preach 4 nights! Bro. Kenny is a phenomenal man of God! He has an extra special anointing. I love to hear him deliver the Word of God.

September Birthday’s

September is another month with several birthdays for our family and friends. I wanted to take a moment to wish all of them a happy birthday! Everyone celebrating this month, I am glad the Lord blessed you with one more year of life. I hope and pray this is your best year yet! I am so glad you are alive and part of my life.

Happy 30th Birthday Jacqueline

There is one birthday I wanted to highlight today. Jacqueline Coffman turned 30 this week. I can not believe 30 years have passed since she entered the world on September 11th 1994!

Jacqueline is an amazing woman! From her first day of life until now I have watched her grow into the awesome person she is today. It is a honor to know her, call her my cousin and a dear friend!

When I think of her so many excellent qualities come to my mind it is had to wrap it up in a few words. Here is just a sample of the good qualities that come to mind when I think about Jacqueline. She is beautiful, sweet, dedicated, caring, a prayer warrior, kind, loving, compassionate, hard working, creative, thoughtful  well spoken and selfless.

Jacqueline, I love you so much! Hope you had a fabulous birthday. Sorry I was not there to celebrate you in person. I hope to see you in a few days. Maybe we can celebrate your birthday milestone then.

I know you are embarrassed to read this right now. My little corner of the world needs to know how awesome you truly are! I want to be like you “when I grow up”! 😁

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you have a weekend full of blessings. See you next time.

Thinking Of People and A Place That I Love Dearly

My dear friend Bro. Shobanke from Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria turned 80 years old earlier this week. They are combining a celebration of his birthday and 50 years in the ministry with campmeeting.

Originally, it was my plan to be there for this big event and also to dedicate the new church that we helped build earlier this year. I was not physically able to make the trip, but my heart has been aching to be there so badly.

Today I have been looking at videos and pictures from our trip there in November/December 2023. I have been weeping and laughing at the same time at several points during the day.

I love my Nigeria family and I long to be with them. Perhaps God will grant me the privilege to be with them in the near future. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.

If I thought I could handle the long trip, I would have already been there this summer. If I am going to be in one place, unable to preach revivals, it might as well be there as here.

We had saved a little more to send for the school construction. We sent that today along with a little extra for Bro. Shobanke’s 80th birthday. I would rather deliver it in person, but I am thankful to be able to deliver it at all.

I found today that I have videos that I have never posted. I need to get on that. Until then, I will try to post some links below to YouTube videos that we have already posted from our trip to Nigeria and links to pictures.

I hope you enjoy them. You can follow on from these links to more pictures and videos. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Papaw Danny And The Isaacs July 2024

 Hey Friends,

This is Odie coming to you for another Saturday post. It is great to visit with you today. I hope all of you are doing well today.

Happy Birthday Papaw Danny

August 3rd is the birthday of Mom's Dad. The biggest of all, happy birthdays to my Papaw Danny!

We are so blessed to have this excellent man in our lives! Papaw is a fantastic person!

Once again, happy birthday! We love you so very much, and I hope you feel extra loved today. I could not let this day go by without celebrating you, at least a little bit!

The Isaacs July 2024

Recently, Mom and I decided to take a road trip at the last minute. We drove to Grayson, Kentucky, for the afternoon and evening. The Isaacs were singing at Kentucky Christian University. We were excited to see our family and spend some time with them. Here is a quick picture that I snapped during their soundcheck,

Being in Grayson also allowed us to see some Boggs family members. That was an extra special treat! George and Diana Boggs sat with us. We love our dear cousins!

Also, our cousin Rhonda Oney was there with some of her family. It was great to see her again!

Ready and waiting for concert time.

The KCU president started off the night by greeting the crowd.

The Isaacs then took the stage. They started the night off with Ain't No Grave.

Josh Swift is the Dobro master.

Greg Ritchie is a phenomenal percussionist. He has been special to us for many years, playing drums on all of our studio albums. We love Greg!

My beautiful Aunt Lily! I  love hearing her sing and give her testimony!

It was neat to watch Levi and Becky Bowman, a mother and son, play guitars together.

The one and only Ben Isaacs! He is a man of many talents, and he does all of them exceptionally well!

Sonya Isaacs is an amazing singer, musician and person! I am always left in awe of her! It is an honor to know her!

I always have a great time listening to the music and singing. It never gets old to me!

The Isaacs' talent improves every time! I do not know how it happens when they are already the best!

Josh Swift has been an excellent addition to the group since 2020. He joins right in on the family antics on and off stage.

Geg Ritchie joined the Isaacs in 2022. He also fits right in with the family!

They sang Three Bells, honoring a special request from a member of the audience.

Becky did a marvelous job on the Good Shepherd! That is a song from her solo record. I praise God for a miracle every time I see Becky perform! The Lord has helped her recover amazingly from the horrible car wreck in December of 2022. She is a trooper, overcoming the lasting complications from the accident daily!

Levi Bowman sang a song from his upcoming solo project. Levi has always been my buddy, and he is very talented.

The concert was outstanding from beginning to end. I hated to see the night end on the last note of Nothing But Good! I am already checking The Isaacs' schedule for the next time I can see them.

I love my Ben, Sonya and Becky more than I can express. It is always a joy to spend time with them!

They argue over who loves me the most and which one I love more. It has been a long standing discussion.

I am blessed to have each of them in my corner. They all go out of their way to make me feel loved!

We had to get a couple photos with our Boggs Family before we said goodbye to them! We love George and Diana. They are some of the sweetest people that we know.

Soon, it was time to say our goodbyes for the night. Here is a picture of their bus as we left.

Then we pointed the Jeep toward Waynesville. Thanks to Mom for being my chauffeur! We talked about the exceptional day all the way home. I am so grateful that we got to make this road trip work! We missed Dad being with us!

That wraps up my Isaacs July 2024 recap. Thanks for tagging along. See you next week.
