Weekend Wrap Up 11/12/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to visit with us today! Last week, I mentioned to you that we made a quick trip. We were in Florida for a few days. The trip also included a day in Mississippi.

We were in Cantonment, Florida, spending time with Bro. Philip Deane and family. Bro. Colton Deane is going to help us with a couple of Christmas concerts next month.

Last week, we were able to work in a few practice sessions. We will not be able to meet in person to practice again until the week of the concerts.

I already included a couple of pictures from our practice sessions, but here are a few more.

A Weekend Wrap Up must have a few food pictures as well.

The day we spent in Mississippi included a service at Trinity in Pascagula. They had a fellowship meeting last week, and we were able to be there for the final night.

We were able to hear, Bro. Tyler Combs preach in the youth service. Bro. John Brock preached the evening service. They both did wonderful! It was great to see so many friends!

I snapped some photos. We had to slip out before the church was over. I was not able to get all the pictures that I wanted.

We had a crazy time traveling home. I did not get any pictures of our travel day. We were just thankful to get home!

Mom and I had to end up taking separate flights from Pensacola to Atlanta. Then we were able to get on the same flight from Atlanta to Dayton flight. I was the last  to board  the flight. I was going through Atlanta airport as fast as my little wheels would carry me. Thank God I made it.

That wrapped up our weekend. We made it home Sunday in time to take a long winters nap. Then woke up to snow.

I want to close today by wishing a very special person Happy Birthday! Lisa Isaacs is celebrating a birthday!

We love you, Lisa, so very much! I hope you feel extra loved and appreciated today!

Thank you for all that you do! Everyone needs a Lisa in their corner!

See y'all tomorrow!

Davy Day November 10th 2025

 Hey Friends,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your extra prayers yesterday! We sincerely appreciate every call, text, comment and card that let us know you were praying for us! We all felt your prayers, hugs and thoughts!

As I wrote yesterday, HERE, it has been one year since Dad has been in Heaven. It was a day full of emotions. We laughed, cried, laughed a lot more and shed a few more tears. Praise the Lord, I can say it was a great day!

Mom and I decided, leading up to this day, that we were going to have a good day. I knew I wanted to spend yesterday close to family.

The first snowfall of the season arrived Sunday night and persisted most of Monday. We all had to laugh. Dad despised snow! He was probably having a good laugh at us yesterday!

In Davy fashion, we went to Acapulco for lunch. We were there when the doors opened at 11 AM, just like Dad  would have been. We drank some salsa for him. It was great to spend time with several of our family members that could join us! I think it was good for all of us!

Mom and I decided to wear Dad's shirts, hats and "ear muffins". It was our little way of having him with us. Mom even ended up getting salsa on her Davy shirt. I know it was not the first time the shirt had Alcapulco’s salsa on it. 🤣

I failed to get pictures for memories sake. Mom's parents were not able to join us for lunch but they came to spend some time with us in the afternoon. We enjoyed Gran and Papaw’s visit!

Later in the evening we went to visit with Mamaw, Papaw and Uncle Steve. It was great to have family with us yesterday. The others were close by via call or text! Our family has helped carry us through this year!  We can never thank them enough for their love.

Then we were hungry for supper. We all loaded up in the van, and our day concluded with a trip to a Frisch's Big Boy in West Chester, Ohio. It was wonderful to taste this Ohio comfort food again!

Another first is behind us. Lord, I thank you for helping us get through the day! Please be with us as we begin year number two.

Thank you again for being our friends and reading about our adventure of life! I appreciate you for being here for the good, bad and  ugly! See you next time.

Sunday Wrap Up 11/3/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for choosing to spend a moment of your Monday with us! We were home in Ohio this weekend.

Mom and I enjoyed attending our home church yesterday. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a church family! We are blessed to be part of a phenomenal church at DRPC.

Bro. Bennie Sutherland is our pastor. It is always a blessing to hear him teach Sunday school and preach. He has been the pastor at Dryden Road. since 1978, and our pastor for 37 of those years. I do not know where our family would be without his guidance. We love, Bro. Bennie and Sis. Jane!

Below are just a couple of pictures, that I snapped yesterday. I love my little friends at church! They love to get selfies with me. 😀

Then I took a couple of photos of my food last night.

I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the orders from our online music store. Click HERE to check out our store.

In closing, please help us continue to pray for our precious baby boy Beckham Boggs.
He has already had an extended hospital stay, and it looks like he will be there a while longer.  I praise the Lord for helping him! Beckham is a fighof ter, but he needs a miracle!

A few days ago, they diagnosed him with a condition that he will grow out of around the age of two. We serve a powerful God who is able to heal him completely today! That is my heart's desire for this sweet baby boy.

That is why I am asking you to join us in prayer, not only for Beckham but for Jonas, Kylee and all of the family. Everyone needs strength that comes only from the Lord!

See you next time!

Odie’s 40th Birthday Trip in Pics

 Hey Friends,

Recently, my Mom took me on a trip for my 40th birthday gift. Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was my chosen destination. We had explored various types of trips and locations, but nothing seemed to align with our schedule.

Once we started discussing the possibility of going to Lancaster, everything fell into place neatly. It was nice to visit a new place for me! The area is beautiful!

I wanted to go to Sight and Sound Theatres in Lancaster. This is the final year they will be performing the Noah play for a while. I have never seen their production of Noah, but I had heard great things about it! Visiting Hershey World was also high on my list of things I wanted to do. It is a chocolate lover's paradise!

On this trip, we also managed to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. We had been extremely busy leading up to it. Relaxation was just what the doctor ordered.

Our dear friends, Bruce and Priscilla Mayhan, decided to spend their 43rd anniversary with us in Pennsylvania. For many years now, we have never known where they're gonna show up! They are always saying, “See you down the road.”

This time, we knew they were coming, but Pennsylvania is a new place to add to our meetup locations. It was wonderful to spend several days with them!

The whole week was super fun! Here is a little rundown of our itinerary. Monday - Gettysburg and The Shady Maple Buffet.
Tuesday - Hershey World and Longhorn Steakhouse
Wednesday - Noah at Sight and Sound and Agape Cafe
Thursday - Shopping and CiCi’s Pizza
Friday - We started the trip toward home. We decided to stay an extra night in Pennsylvania due to the Friday traffic.

All week we enjoyed time with our friends. We laughed, cried, reminisced, and made new memories. The trip was an excellent way to celebrate the start of a new decade.

Thanks to the Mayhans for being part of this special week! Thank you to my Mama for the best birthday gift! I loved our time in Lancaster so much!

I have snapshots from my phone, Mom's phone, and Bro. Bruce’s phone. I hope you enjoy a picture of a load!

One activity that I wanted to do at Hershey World was stuff your own Reese’s cup! I highly recommend!

Waiting to go on the ride that shows you some of what it is like in the factory.

I also wanted to create my own Hershey bar.

Next was the highly recommended Agape Cafe. We received multiple recommendations for this restaurant, and we wanted to try it. It was fabulous! Mom and I both had a Reuben sandwich.
Their homemade Snickers came extremely recommended, and it was delicious!

Wednesday

This was our reserved date to go see Noah. we were highly anticipating a wonderful production! We were not disappointed it was incredible! I cannot put into words how much mom and I enjoyed it this play! If you get the chance to go see Noah before the end of the year, I highly recommend. you can check out Sight and Sound Theatres online. Noah is currently playing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania through December 31. Joshua will begin next spring.  there's also a theater in Branson, Missouri and they show different plays. I know this year has been David. that theater will soon be switching to their Christmas play. I believe David is coming back there next year as well.

No photography is allowed during the shows. We did capture a few pictures outside and before the show began.

Wednesday evening we went to Longhorn to celebrate the Mayhan's anniversary.
