The Martins March 2025

Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining us. I hope you are having a great day. Welcome to April! There are no April Fools jokes here today.

We are rewinding to Saturday, March 23rd. Mom and I traveled to Washington Courthouse, Ohio, not too far away.

We went to Heritage Church to see the Martins in concert. It has been years since I have seen the Martins live. I was thrilled to receive a notification about this concert in my area on the Bands In Town app! We were home and able to attend.

It was an appreciation concert for Sunday school teachers and church workers in their fellowship. They honored several people.

Then, it was time for the main event of the Martins. Thanks to Heritage for a great night of music! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

The Martins have been family favorites for over thirty years, and their singing has always inspired us.

The concert was incredible! I smiled all night and kept looking at Mom, saying, "Wow!"

The Martins are a sibling trio: Joyce, Jonathan and Judy. They were all there and came out to sing. After the first song, we were told that Jonathan did not have enough voice to sing the entire concert. They had reinforcements waiting in the wings. Judy’s son Jake Hess the III was there.

Jake did a fabulous job filling in for his Uncle Jonathan. This was the first time he sang live with the Martins.

He was nervous but was having a great time. His Mama,  Judy and Aunt Joyce were so proud and thrilled to be singing with Jake! It was fantastic to witness this night in The Martin’s history!

Here are my pictures from the evening. I hope you enjoy the concert virtually!

Jake also sang two song he has co-written. Both songs have been recorded and released by others. Turns out Mom and I already knew both songs. We did not know he was one of the writers.

It was a wonderful night of laughter, music and tears! I felt like it was much needed for both Mom and me! Thank you to Joyce, Jonathan, Judy and Jake for a fantastic concert!

See you tomorrow!

PFYC 2025 Notes

Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by today for a visit. It is great to have you in our little world for a moment.

The Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference 2025 took place on Thursday and Friday in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Please visit my post from both Friday and Saturday to see my PFYC 2025 pictures. My seat was not the best for great church service pictures. I did capture a few and lots of people pictures.

Mom did a fantastic job playing the piano for each service! I was proud of her! She was honored to be part of the house band this year, And some amazing musicians surrounded her!

Thousands of people from across the nation gathered at the Leconte Center. It is so encouraging to spend two days immersed in biblical teaching and surrounded by the power of God! PFYC is always a life-changing weekend for many people!

The PFYC board does a marvelous job of putting on a top-notch event! I cannot say thank you enough to the board and their team! They work hard to make sure everything runs without a hitch while allowing the spirit of God to move freely!

This year, the Lord came down and visited me so sweetly! I am rejoicing that my spiritual batteries are recharged! I truly needed a visitation of His spirit in my life! I cannot put into words how special it is to fill the power of God so sweetly and near to me! I am left in awe of the power of a mighty God!

Landmarks was the theme for this year. I believe thousands of spiritual landmarks were erected across The Leconte Center! Below are my sermon notes from the 2025 PFYC.

Visit the PFYC website here. Soon, you will be able to find the audio from this year and 2025 photos from the official photographer. There, you can also make plans to attend PFYC 2026.

See you tomorrow!

Throwback Thursday 3/27/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting. Have you watched our newest video? It was uploaded on Tuesday to our Boggs Family Ministies Youtube channel. Bro. Colton Deane is jamming with Mom and me again. Please check it out!

Last Thursday’s Throwback was about my Uncle Steve. It was his birthday last week. Click here to see his birthday post.

March is also birthday month for a few more special people too. It is time for some belated birthday shoutouts and a few throwback photos too.

My cousin Courtney’s husband Joey Daniels had a birthday on the 8th. Joey has been a great addition to our family! We love you Joey. Thank you for all of your I.T. help!

Our sweet friend Javonia Searcy had a birthday March 9th. It is a holiday that we have to celebrate! We love you Javonia! Thank you for being our friend! You are a ray of sunshine in our lives!

Here is a favorite throwback picture and a couple newer pictures.

My cousin Morgan’s boyfriend Braden Yeager had a birthday on March 22. Braden, thank you for joining right in with our crazy crew!

Morgan joined the birthday club yesterday on the 26th. It was number 22 for her. Where did time go? Morgan has always been so cute! Morgan Rae, we love you to the sun and back! 😆

Mom came across these old pictures last week. I had to reminisce today.

Happy Birthday to the March birthday clan! I hope God blesses you with a fantastic year!

See you all tomorrow.

Through The Fire Featuring Colton Deane

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting. We are delighted to have you drop by!

We have a treat to share today. Here is another video that we recorded while in Florida.

Mom and I had a blast singing with Colton! He is awesome! Thank you, Colton, for allowing us to sing with you and for allowing us to share it with others!

Gerald Crabb wrote this amazing song, Through The Fire, which the Crabb Family first released around 2000. It quickly gained a spot on my favorites list. This song has ministered to me many times. The message never gets old!

I was so happy when Colton pulled the song out while we were singing. I hope you enjoy a glimpse into our fun at Beams of Light Holiness Church! Our audience this night was Bro. Phillip and Sis. Deidra Deane, my Gran, Papaw Danny and Farrell Stearns. They were great cheerleaders!

See you all tomorrow!

Odie’s 2025 Vacation Day 5

 Hey Friends,

I hope you are having a great Wednesday. We have been enjoying a week at home. I did have a little porch time yesterday! That is my first time sitting on my glider this year and enjoying the sunshine.

While I was outside, I was going through pictures on my phone. I realized I have not finished sharing my vacation photos from this year. I am behind!

Therefore, today, we have day five of the 2025 vacation. This is day three of the Singing At Sea cruise. Wednesday was a port day. We spent some time at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the island for a little while. Then, we found our way back on the ship and enjoyed some deck time. Next on the agenda was music, dinner music, friends, ice cream and you get my point.

Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing some of our vacation pictures. All of these were captured on either my iPhone or Nicole's. FYI, Blogger has taken to posting the pictures in random order. It drives me crazy when I work so hard to try to get them in chronological order.

The Singing At Sea cruise by Templeton Tours is a blast, and I am looking forward to next year! I cannot say it enough, Thanks again to my dear friend Nicole for being a great travel companion!

Without further ado, I will leave you with pictures from Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Thanks for reading. See you tomorrow!
