Odie’s Weekend Roundup 10/5/25

Hey Friends,

I was home in Ohio this weekend. I was blessed to spend time with family and friends.

I wrote about Friday night here. Check it out if you missed it. I am still in shock at what my church friends managed to pull off.

Saturday, I was hanging out at home. My cousin Jake called to invite to eat Mexican with his family. I quickly agreed, and they came and picked me up. I enjoyed dinner with most of the Blevins crew. The food was spectacular, and the fellowship was even better!

Sunday was reserved for church. We had two great services at DRPC! It was a day of seeing friends from other places.

On Sunday morning, we had a ministry group from Heritage Bible College in Savannah, Georgia. They did a great job. I was proud of them!

I forgot to take pictures of my main food during lunch. But there was more salsa involved in my weekend. I was not complaining! I enjoyed every drop of it! It was wonderful getting to spend some time Sunday with my dear friends, the Stancells!

Sunday night, Bro. Kevin and Sis. Teresa Webster were visiting from Oklahoma. They had been in revival for Pastor Mitch Hasty and came to be in service with us at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church. It is always wonderful to hear them Webster's minister in a service! We also had the added blessing of having the Hasty's back in church service with us, and several of their church people.

There you have my Weekend Roundup. It was nice to have a quiet weekend at home!

Thanks for reading! I will see you all tomorrow.

Saturday, I went next door to Dodds Church. In the afternoon, they had a Kids' Camp. Uncle Jay, Aunt Theresa and their helpers did a great job.

The kids seem to have a fun time! Thank God for clearing the weather up for a little while! That was an answer to prayer!

I received a I received a special surprise in the mail. My dear friend Esther Richards knows me so well! Thank you for making me smile, Esther! We love you!

Sunday, was an extremely busy day, as always! We had church twice at DRPC. The presence of God was so wonderful in both of the services! We are definitely a blessed people at DRPC!

In the afternoon, I was able to spend some quality time with my dear friend Michelle! I appreciate her taking time out of her busy afternoon to be with me! We enjoyed dinner at Olive Garden and coffee from 7 Brew.

Sunday was also reserved for a baby shower for my cousin Jonas and his beautiful wife, Kylee!

Baby Beckham received lots of thoughtful gifts from his church family! We are excited to meet the little guy when he makes his arrival in just a few weeks!

After church Sunday evening, it was wonderful to spend time with some more of our church family! J.C. and Brooklynn Burris were visiting from Savannah Georgia. I really enjoyed getting to catch up with them after service!

Happy to be reunited for a little while with my buddy, J.C. Burris!

2025 Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

 Hey Friends,

I am so glad you stopped by to visit with us. I hope your week is going well!

Here is a quick update on my Mamaw. Mom and I spent some time with them at the hospital yesterday afternoon. She was still very weak, but improving!

The doctor was pleased with her progress and her numbers. The plan was for her to go home sometime today!

She wanted me to thank everyone for their prayers and concern for her. Thank God for answering our prayers!

I have some photos from our weekend to share with you. On Saturday, we spent time with my Uncle Danny Morgan and his family, Gran and Papaw. We had a great day with them!

The weather was perfect for a zoo day, so we visited the Columbus, Ohio, zoo. It was extremely crowded!

We were thrilled to spend the day enjoying sunshine and family. Although I only captured a handful of pictures, countless memories were made! This was little Kolby’s first zoo trip.

Sunday afternoon we also had more Morgan family time. Mom and I decided to surprise everyone and show up for the Mother's Day family dinner.

With two services at our church on Sunday, my mom being in the hospital And my mom's parents live an hour and a half away, I did not know if we could pull it off. The day was jampacked full, but I am so glad that we were able to be with my grandmother for a little while on Mother's Day.

Saturday and Sunday both we did spend some time with my Boggs Grandparents! I did not take any pictures of my Mamaw since she was in the hospital. Sick or not, she is still beautiful!

Here is a picture from a few weeks ago! I love both Mamaw and Papaw dearly!

We will wrap it up with a few pictures that I snapped during church on Sunday. We are blessed to be part of DRPC!

See you all tomorrow!
