Throwback Thursday 11/20/25

 Hey Friend,

Odie here, writing from a hospital bed. Thank you, Mom, for posting yesterday. I was not able to write anything!

Surgery was successful on Tuesday evening. Tuesday night was an uncomfortable night. My pain was unbearable, at times. I was searching endlessly for a spot where I could be pain free. My search was unsuccessful. Mom stayed right by me trying to to help me get relief.

Wednesday was much more manageable. The pain was still there, but meds are helping! I am supposed to be released from the hospital today.

Thank for your prayers, friendship and support! It is all very much appreciated!

Throwback Thursday

One year ago tomorrow was Dad’s Celebration of Life service! It truly was amazing service. Mom and I laughed, smiled and worshipped God more than we cried! It was a great way to honor a life well lived.

Here is the service on YouTube.

It has had over 8,200  views. I can hear Dad saying, I had to die to get that many views. 🤣 I am so thankful we have the service archived!

Thank for joining us today. See you tomorrow.

The Circle Of One Year

Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining us. Today is a date that is forever imprinted on our hearts. Dad completed his earthly life on 11/10/24.

My mind can not comprehend that my last statement is actually true.  I still feel like my Dad should be a phone call away! He should be walking down to my house in a while to go to lunch.

Instead, we have made a circle of one complete year. 365 days have passed since I hugged him or held his hand!

For Dad, it is just a blink of an eye. He is probably still worshipping at the throne. He is still getting used to his new body. No pain, fully functioning lungs, 100 percent strength. He might be running around worshiping. His end goal was always Heaven, and I have no doubts that he is there now!

Back to the circle of life, here on the Boggs Blogs, Dad often wrote about circles. Long-time readers may remember circle posts at the beginning and end of every tour. He knew all the facts about the trip: highlights, states visited, number of services, and miles traveled. Dad liked keeping track of the circles!

Over the years, we have enjoyed looking back over our lives and connecting dots to make our circle bigger. This happened, or we have these friends or experience because of a specific moment. It was a chain of events from God. Most of the things pointed back to our first evangelism stint in the early 90’s! God’s hand was always at work in our lives.

Dad pastored at New Horizon Holiness Church in Wichita, Kansas, from 1999 to 2003. January 5th 2003, was our last service as pastors. We started a revival that night in Oklahoma City. We were filling in for another evangelist for 2 nights there.

On January 8th, we packed the final things in Wichita  Then we hit the road. First stop was Weir, Kansas. There were just a few revivals on the schedule. We were uncertain of our plans, but God knew it all!

That first revival service in Weir, Kansas, was life-changing for our family! Then we knew evangelism was probably the direction our ministry was supposed to go. How long was it still up in the air.

The next almost 22 years. We crisscrossed the country traveling for ministry. We also traveled to other countries. We called 2 5th-wheel trailers home in that time, and most of the time our home was the BoggsMobile. A 1995 Prevost bus. The entire time we were doing circles! I cannot know the exact number of miles or services, but Dad would have known!

In October 2024, Dad drove the BoggsMobile back to Wichita for another visit. We were excited to be in revival with our friends at Bethany Revival Center. Dad preached 3 services of revival. The final 2 services were scheduled for Sunday.

Then we were supposed to be back on the road. there was I more revival on the schedule for the year. Then we would have completed another circle by coming home to Ohio.

Things did not go according to plan. By Sunday, Dad was suffering horribly with a kidney stone. We prayed all day for him, but he could get little relief. Monday, he went to the hospital.

Sunday afternoon, November 10th, Dad went to his Heavenly home. Dad had suffered long and hard; he was so ready to go home! He let everyone know it, too. COVID, the stroke and the last sickness took a toll on him!

We were not ready for him to leave! Our heart’s cry until the end was for total healing! God chose to give him the ultimate healing!!

We grieve and miss Dad terribly! Mom and I can not fault him for wanting to go home. He was ready! Dad had longed and dreamed of Heaven for decades. His dream became a reality!

Dad completed his circle of life in Wichita, Kansas—a place where he always felt at home. Dad’s real life began on 11/10/24, when He crossed over.

There are two things that we find very interesting, when we stop and think about Dad ‘s circle of life. Mom and I see a circle that began and concluded in Wichita, Kansas. Dad‘s last stint of evangelism began in Wichita, Kansas in 2003,  and it concluded in Wichita in 2024. Also, he began filming his, “A Word For Wednesday” series in Wichita at Bethany Revival Center. The last episode was filmed in the very same place the Tuesday before he got sick.

Daddy, I love you ”more than a hog loves slop!” Today, we remember and honor you for being an incredible person! It was a tremendous honor to be part of your amazing life!

Thank you for your prayers and support for our family! Your love and friendship has meant even more to us this year! we have felt the power of prayer carry us through this year. Mom and I have made it by God's grace, and we will continue to do so one day at a time.

Overwhelmed But Trusting

 Hey Friends,

Yesterday was a day of much prayer and many tears. Baby Beckham had to be intubated. He was then transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

Hopefully, different doctors can help them get answers to help our little guy. Our family is desperate to see God move in this situation.

Then we have other members of our road family suffering heartbreak and sickness. I felt overwhelmed and helpless.

I was continually asking God to move and comfort. He is the only one who can truly step in and help those in need!

One year ago Dad was battling his final sickness. God was our comfort in 2024! We have survived by His incredible grace and one minute at a time. One day and step at a time.

Yesterday, when I was overwhelmed, I found myself reliving the same feelings and emotions I had last year. Helpless is the only way that I know how to describe it.

I gave myself a good pep talk. Odie, take a deep breath! God is in control and His goodness never fails! He will carry me through right now.

Then this song came to mind. It was, once again, the encouragement that I needed. Thank the Lord that there is “Peace In Trusting!”

This is our video from earlier this year featuring Colton Deane. The Isaacs originally recorded Peace In Trusting. Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Rebeca Isaacs Bowman and Jimmy Yeary wrote the song.

Today, I am choosing to trust in God’s peace. Even though His plan is covered by storm clouds! We serve a faithful God on both the good and stormy days!

Thank you for reading. Please keep us in your prayers!

Cantonment Florida Fall 2025 Visit Pics

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining us today! Mom and I are having a great trip. It has been wonderful to spend time with some very dear friends!

Last Friday, I mentioned the trade-off that we made with the Philip Deane family of Cantonment, Florida. We helped them with music last weekend for a meeting, and in return, Colton Deane will be singing with us this Sunday.

We love it any time we get the chance to sing the Colton. He is extremely talented and anointed, and it is a joy to sing with him!

Also, we have a weekend in October that we will be at the same meeting in Oklahoma. Mom and I will be doing the special singing, and Bro. Philip Deane will be preaching the nights of the meeting.

Mom built in time to this current trip so that we could visit the Deanes in Cantonment, Florida. We enjoy spending time with them and being in service with them at Beams of Light.

That also gave us time to practice with Colton and prepare for last week, this week, and October. We sang, laughed and ate a lot! Then, we would repeat it all again.

We did not video any of our singing this time around, but you can check our YouTube channel. We posted a few videos earlier this spring with Colton singing.

Our visit was excellent! Looking back on it, I realize I did not take a ton of pictures. Today, I have a few of the ones I snapped during our time in Cantonment, Florida, for this trip.

I hope you enjoy these pictures! I will see you all tomorrow.

I Wanna Be There Sample The Isaacs Branson Missouri

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining me today! I have a special video to share below.

This is just a sample of the Isaacs singing their song "I Wanna Be There." These clips were recorded in Branson, Missouri, on September 1 2025, and shared by some friends

It made my day to receive the videos! With my friend's permission, I'm sharing them with you.

This song was written by my cousins, Becky Isaacs Bowman and Jimmy and Sonya Isaacs Yeary.

The first verse is written about Gordon Mote and the second verse is written about me.

I want to be healed here, but if not, I look forward to that day in Heaven. Folding up that wheelchair and being free “

Please take a moment to watch the video! I hope you have a great day.

Sunday Sanity 8/10/25

 Hey Friends,

I know Sunday is supposed to be “Sunday Sanity”, but I watched this archived “Word for Wednesday” yesterday!

I am eternally grateful that the Master of the wind is the Master of my life! I am missing my Daddy today!

Nine months ago today, he moved to his Heavenly home! Sunday, November 10th 2024, Dad got to meet the Master of the wind face-to-face! The storms of Dad's life were over!

From the time I was a girl dad taught me to lean upon God in my distress. He taught me not only with his words but also through his actions. God, our Great Master, kept my Dad through the storms of life.

Thank God that He continually keeps you and me! I am finding myself in need of him today a little more than I did yesterday! I know He will meet me right where I am!

Today, I wish Dad was here to personally give us a word of encouragement! I would love to hear him preach, in person this morning! Thankfully, we can look back on so many things that he left for us.

Daddy, I will always love you and I will see you soon!

Thoughtful Thursday 8/7/25

 Hey Friends,

You can find Voices From The Valley on the BHC YouTube channel. New episodes
are posted on Tuesdays. I highly recommend this weekly devotion series. It is something my Dad loved for years!

Mom and I watches this week’s episode together. It spoke to our current day situation. We were both encouraged and challenged!

Pastor Brent Gabbard pointed out so many great things. I could have probably done a month full of Sunday Sanity’s from this one devotion.

I decided to share the devotion here before we were even finished. Please watch this short video. You will not be disappointed.

I kept saying, “Oh, Dad would have loved this so much.” Psalms 90:9 was one of his favorite scriptures. We heard him preach it to the youth, old and in between. It was even a common funeral text from Dad.

Thanks for reading and watching! Comment and subscribe to Voices From The Valley!

Foodie Friday 7/25/25

 Hey Friends,

I need to start today’s post with an apology! I know several of you read the blog early in the morning. Yesterday‘s post did not go up at 2 AM, which is usually my scheduled time for the new post each day.

My cousin Lisa text me yesterday to check on me. She was worried because there was no blog yesterday morning. I am so thankful that she did text me and tell me. I checked the post and accidentally scheduled it to go live this morning. Thankfully, I was able to correct my mistake!

Yesterday was a very special Throwback Thursday! I shared a YouTube video Dad posted two years ago this summer. Click here if you missed yesterday's post!

Foodie Friday

Now it is time for Friday's post. This is when I like to focus on some good food!

Wednesday morning, Lisa and I made last-minute plans to have lunch together. She had some extra time in her busy day and chose to spend it with me!

Somehow, her car found its way to a couple of our favorite spots! We ended up in Springboro. First, we visited our favorite Cassanos pizza!

I wish you could taste and smell Cassano's pizza through the pictures! It was amazing and hit the spot!

Before heading back to my house, the car found its way to Dairy Queen Drive thru!

This was the perfect way to conclude a great lunch with a very special person! The ice cream tasted wonderful. The fellowship was even sweeter and we were able to beat the heat on a hot July day!

Lisa, I love you! Thank you for always being there for us! You are amazing! I appreciate you spending some of your downtime with me!

Thank you for reading!  I hope you are able to stay cool on this beautiful Friday! I will see you all tomorrow!

Throwback Thursday, 7/24/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to spend a moment of your Thursday with us! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I appreciate all of you, but let me know you enjoyed Throwback Thursday 2 weeks ago! You can find that post by clicking here

Two years ago, we visited Kennebunkport, Maine. We absolutely loved this town. We had been there before but knew we had to return for another visit!

Saint Anne’s Chapel was one of our favorite spots that we ever visited as a family. This church is located near the Bush compound in Kennebunkport!

The beautiful chapel and the views surrounding it brought us much peace! We treasured our memories made on this particular day as a family. The day was a gift from God! I treasured it even more today! I truly do not think I will ever forget this special day!

As I reminisce, I am reminded of how blessed I am! I love that we were able to travel and experience so many wonderful things with Dad! I miss him so very much, and my heart aches and wants to be with him! But I hold these memories. I thank God for every special moment!

I will forever be grateful for all the memories we catalog on the blog and YouTube! On our last visit to Saint Ann's Chapel, we were able to sing two songs as a family and capture them on video. The post above has one of the songs. The second one is listed below.

Daily, I am reminded of God's great faithfulness toward me and my family. Thank you, Lord, for your tender mercies! He is truly our rock and provider. We would be lost without Him!

Thank you for reading!

Throwback Thursday, 7/10/25

 Hey Friends,

I am so glad that you chose to spend a moment of your day with us! Thanks for making my day a little brighter!

I am missing my Daddy today. 8 months ago today, his home changed to Heaven. I have been in a reminiscing mood the last couple of days!

One of our YouTube videos came up on my suggested videos a few days ago. I couldn't help but smile! This was a great day spent with my parents! We love St Anne’s Chapel in Maine! It was one of our favorite places to visit! I will forever cherish our time here.

I thought this was a good video to share for Throwback Thursday! I am beyond grateful that my hope is built on Jesus Christ! The waves and storm of life have rocked us this year, but Jesus has been steadfast!

2025 should have been the summer that we made our bi-annual summer trip to the Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New York. Next month we wiill visit Boston, Massachusetts area for a few days.  Sadly, we do not have time to make it to the other Northeast states this time around.

Thank you again for reading!

Happy 57th Birthday Mama

Hey Friends,

Yes, it is a holiday weekend! We will celebrate America's birthday tomorrow, but we must celebrate today!

Happy 57th birthday to the beautiful Kelly Jo Boggs! My prayer for you today, is that you feel blessed, loved, appreciated and special! Mom, I hope you have an incredible birthday!

57 years ago, a firecracker of a little girl was born. When she arrived, she brought so much joy to the world! Kelly Jo Morgan, as she was then known, is the oldest child of Danny and Betty Morgan. July 3, 1968 their life changed forever!

They raised her to be a lovely lady. Shortly after Mom turned 4 her parents were saved. Then, they instilled in her a love of God!

All these years later, we know her by many titles mom, sister and friend. I have personally witnessed her being a devoted wife, caregiver, and mother.

Kelly Jo Boggs is my hero! She has walked through life with grace. Her favorite position is to be supporting someone else. Anyone that truly knows my mom knows that she is absolutely amazing!

She has dedicated her adult life to her family, ministry, and music! As someone who has had of front row seat, for most of it, I am in awe of her. I wanna be like my mommy when I grow up! 😀

I had a really hard time narrowing down the photos to use of Mom in this post. So I am going to share some more from my camera roll

Once again, I love you, Mama happy birthday! I hope you can feel my hug in this post! Sorry, not sorry for embarrassing you! You deserve all the extra shout, outs!

I will wrap up this post with re-posting a video Dad shared on our YouTube channel 2 years ago.

Daddy, love, my mama, like no other! I could get by with a lot of things, but if he felt that I was disrespecting my mother that was another thing. He wanted her to be held in the highest regard! This is just one of the small proofs that we have of his love for her!
