Happy 57th Birthday Mama

Hey Friends,

Yes, it is a holiday weekend! We will celebrate America's birthday tomorrow, but we must celebrate today!

Happy 57th birthday to the beautiful Kelly Jo Boggs! My prayer for you today, is that you feel blessed, loved, appreciated and special! Mom, I hope you have an incredible birthday!

57 years ago, a firecracker of a little girl was born. When she arrived, she brought so much joy to the world! Kelly Jo Morgan, as she was then known, is the oldest child of Danny and Betty Morgan. July 3, 1968 their life changed forever!

They raised her to be a lovely lady. Shortly after Mom turned 4 her parents were saved. Then, they instilled in her a love of God!

All these years later, we know her by many titles mom, sister and friend. I have personally witnessed her being a devoted wife, caregiver, and mother.

Kelly Jo Boggs is my hero! She has walked through life with grace. Her favorite position is to be supporting someone else. Anyone that truly knows my mom knows that she is absolutely amazing!

She has dedicated her adult life to her family, ministry, and music! As someone who has had of front row seat, for most of it, I am in awe of her. I wanna be like my mommy when I grow up! 😀

I had a really hard time narrowing down the photos to use of Mom in this post. So I am going to share some more from my camera roll

Once again, I love you, Mama happy birthday! I hope you can feel my hug in this post! Sorry, not sorry for embarrassing you! You deserve all the extra shout, outs!

I will wrap up this post with re-posting a video Dad shared on our YouTube channel 2 years ago.

Daddy, love, my mama, like no other! I could get by with a lot of things, but if he felt that I was disrespecting my mother that was another thing. He wanted her to be held in the highest regard! This is just one of the small proofs that we have of his love for her!

Solace In Grief

 Hey Friends,

We have had a wonderful week here in Iowa. I will try to post revival pictures tomorrow.

We love Pastor John Stringfellow and his family. They have made us feel so welcome and treated us like family.

This week has been another first for Mom and me. This is our first new church to visit without Dad. God has helped us tremendously, and we are so thankful!

Bro. John looked up to Dad. He says Dad had a big impact on their family. Sadly, we did get to make it to visit before Dad passed. So Dad has been greatly missed this week!

Bro John and Sis. Haley gave us a very sentimental gift yesterday. He found this in a store and thought of Dad singing, “If You Could See Me Now”.

Mom and I were moved to tears by this thoughtful gift with meaning. We could just imagine Dad telling us “If You Could See Me Now”.

Thank you dear friends for this special gift. We treasure it! We value your friendship and vote of confidence, in having us minister in music at your church. We love you all!

Thank you for reading.

Memorial Day 2025

Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today. Did you happen to catch our Memorial Day tribute to my Dad yesterday?

We appreciate all the kind comments. You all are so wonderful! Thank you for your support, prayers and encouragement!

Yesterday was a little rough for my mom and me. We missed my Dad and felt his absence!

We spent the day with almost all of our immediate Boggs, family, my Gran, and Papaw Morgan, and several other family members. Our Boggs crew always gathers for Memorial Day at my grandparents barn! The family time is precious!

Papaw Eugene's birthday is later this week. we always have to celebrate with a little bit of ice cream cake on Memorial Day for his birthday.

Toward the end of the day, several of us made the journey to Miami cemetery where many of our family and friends are laid to rest for their final time. It is a family tradition to go visit the cemetery Memorial Day, as a family.

This was the first time since Dad’d funeral that I had been back to the cemetery at the same time as most of the family. I think we all shed a few tears along the way.

We know he is not there! We also know that he is healed! I think we all felt the finality of one more time. it was a hard pill to swallow!

We ordered a gravestone several months ago to mark Dad and Ali's grave. The footer has been poured and waiting for a while. The stone is now complete, but due to rain and they were unable to deliver it to the cemetery for Memorial Day. Hopefully, it will be delivered soon!

The picture flag we added on Dad's birthday in January. By the time we found out the stone would not arrive last week, it was too late to order an unfaded picture flag. The other flag I ordered from Amazon last week. The large flower arrangement Mom picked up from a local nursery. my grandparents brought the other flower arrangement!

I think it turned out very pretty! It was a makeshift memorial to the greatest man I ever knew!

Speaking of the beautiful flower arrangement from the local nursery, it is compliments of an anonymous person. Someone emailed my Mother a gift card for Mother's Day. That is so thoughtful! Mom is so very thankful for that person's kindness!

We have no clue who it is! The nursery could not even tell Mom who sent the gift card. If you happen to be reading this, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! May God bless you!

I will close with a boatload of pictures from yesterday! I hope you enjoy them all. Myself, Theresa, Steve Deidre and Kylee!

Thanks for reading!
