We ended revival Wednesday at White Plains with a very good altar service. God really helped us for the five services we were there. You can see the pictures from revival in yesterday's post. After visiting a while we loaded up the sound equipment, cranked the BoggsMobile and headed out before the winter weather moved in.
The temperature was still in the 60's but it was dropping fast and headed down to 28 by morning. I wanted to get as far south as we could. It was about 130 miles from the church to Richton, Mississippi. Although it rained almost all of the way we had a very smooth trip and we pulled in just after midnight.
We parked in parking lot of First Assembly at Richton and prepared for bed. It was nice to see it was 72 degrees at 2:00 AM as I was laying down. When Bro. Scott and I were hooking up the electricity Thursday morning it was already below 40 degrees. It was pretty cold all day and cold overnight into today as well. It should bounce back up today.
We went to eat lunch Thursday with Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim at a place called the Wharf in Petal, Mississippi. We have eaten food from there more than once but it was our first visit to the restaurant. Bro. Scott, Sis. Kim and Sis. Regan had the boiled shrimp with potatoes and corn.
We had the boiled shrimp. It was so good and of course the fellowship with friends was even better. We really enjoyed it.
We had a relaxing day partly spent with friends and partly spent resting and getting some work done in the bus. I was working on paperwork that never seems to end and Kelly Jo was doing some cleaning and organizing. It was a very good day.
Today we are planning to eat lunch in Hattiesburg with the Morris' again and some other friends and attend the wild game supper at Ellisville. It is a fundraiser for the school at First Assembly and we are looking forward to helping the school AND eating some great food.
We are supposed to preach here at First Assembly Sunday morning and then sing Sunday night. We are looking forward to the services. We are looking forward to a great weekend. I hope you have a great weekend too.
