Hey Friends,
Welcome to another Saturday post from Odie. This week we spent with all of our dear friends at Iron Post Free Holiness Church. We had a great time with them in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor Kevin Webster and the congregation welcomed us with open arms. It was a wonderful way to conclude our fall tour.
Today we are traveling down the road. I am excited to head toward Ohio and enjoy my home. I am looking forward to spending the Holidays with my family. I love this time of year. I have already conquered a chunk of my Christmas shopping online. I really enjoy the challenge of finding a great gift for my loved ones.
Before I totally immerse myself in all things Christmas, I want to stop and be grateful during Thanksgiving season. In our blessed country we set aside a day of Thanksgiving every November. I want to daily be grateful for the countless blessings that God has bestowed upon me, but the Thanksgiving season causes me to ponder those blessings a little closer.
I lack the words to describe my complete thankfulness to God! Songs help me to reflect on the gifts of God. That brings me to Songs of Thanksgiving 2018. I decided that over the next few weeks that I would use a few songs of thanks to express my heart of gratitude.
The song I am featuring today is 26 years old, but the message still rings true. The lyrics of Thank You have rolled continuously through my mind the for several days. It was recorded by my favorite artist the Isaacs on their Live In Atlanta album. It has been re-released on a few different projects through the years.
As I prepared for this post, I listened to the the song several times. I allowed the words to soak into my heart. I was moved to tears when I remembered my many undeserved and unacknowledged blessings. I do not want to be ungrateful.
Dear God, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have given me!
You can find the song here on Apple Music and here on YouTube. Please take a moment to listen to this wonderful song. Take some time to think about what God has done for you. If you are like me, it will make your day a better to Thank God one more time!
I will close with the lyrics to Thank You. To all my fellow Isaacs fans, I hope you enjoyed this blast from the Isaacs past.
Do you have a favorite Song of Thanksgiving? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. I appreciate you spending part of your day with me today. Have a fantastic weekend.

Thank You
Written by Sonya Isaacs and Shelton Feazell
Chorus
Thank you for the things that I never thanked you for
You’ve given everything I need
And still I asked for more
It’s not that I’m ungrateful
I’m just forgetful Lord
So I thank you for the things
That I’ve never thanked You for
Verse 1
There are so many blessings
That you have given me
Things I take for granted every day
The beauty of creation
And the promise of my salvation
Lord help me to remember when I pray
Chorus
Thank you for the things
That I never thanked you for
You’ve given everything I need
And still I asked for more
It’s not that I’m ungrateful
I’m just forgetful Lord
So I thank you for the things
That I’ve never thanked You for
Verse 2
Now when my way grows weary
And rest is hard to find
Sometimes I can’t see my way through
When it seems that I am blinded
That’s when I need to be reminded
That the strength I thought was mine
It came from you
Chorus
Thank you for the things
That I never thanked you for
You’ve given everything I need
And still I asked for more
It’s not that I’m ungrateful
I’m just forgetful Lord
So I thank you for the things
That I’ve never thanked You for
