Hey Friends,
Happy New Year from Odie! We survived another full year and we are now 5 days into 2019. I am always excited to begin a new year, I like the fresh start. I have some hopes and dreams for this year, but only God knows the full picture for 2019.
2018 was a fabulous year for me. I had many joyous days that I will fondly remember for the rest of my life. I owe many people thanks for making 2018 a year that was unforgettable! Most of all I thank God for His provision, guidance and blessings in my life!
Last year is now history and I can not live in the greatness of the past, nor is it possible to change the few horrible days of the year, but I must live for today. I can only change how I respond to today.
When I look ahead to the future it is easy for me to worry and fear the unknown, but I must remember that God is in control of the unknown. I can not fear God. He holds me and He holds tomorrow in His mighty hand!
So I choose to look ahead to the coming days with joy and anticipation. I know that troubles and trials will come. I am not asking for them, but I know that God is on my side. I will trust Him to see me through.
One of my favorite scripture passages is found in Psalms 118. I was reminded of this portion, Psalms 118:1-6, when I was pondering this post.

Today I boldly proclaim with the Psalmist that the Lord is Good and that His mercy endures forever. I can call upon the Lord in 2019 and He will hear me. The Lord is on my side even right now.
I have wonderful news for you, my friend! God is not a respecter of persons. He holds you in the palm of His hand. You are valuable to God! Whatever you are facing today or in the future, He is there with you too!
I will close with the lyrics of I Know Who Holds Tomorrow. This a classic song was written by Ira Stanphill. I love the message of this song. It gives me hope for my future. Click here to view The Isaacs version of this song.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow
Verse 1
I don't know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray
I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him
For He knows what is ahead
Chorus
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand
Verse 2
I don't know about tomorrow
It may bring me poverty
But the one who feeds the sparrow
Is the one who stands by me
And the path that be portion
May be through the flame or flood
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood
Chorus
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand
Tag
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand
