We appreciate comments here on Mile Markers, but we do not live and die by comments. We post pictures and commentary here to make written and visual evidence of where we have been and what we have done. If we need to know something about our lives, or the BoggsMobile or a church where we preached revival in October of 2010, we can find it right here.
Mile Markers serves us as our own personal journal and travelogue.
Mile Markers is also a great way to keep a few members of our family and some friends informed as to the daily events in our lives. It is surprising and pretty neat that 400-500 other friends also tune in and read on a daily or near daily basis. Thank you for that.
We encourage comments and we love comments, but comments or the lack of comments does not change things around here. We keep posting pictures and stories and spiritual truths whether there is a big stir in the comments or not.
However, some of the changes in Google have made posting comments a little confusing. We hear quite regularly, "How do I leave a comment?" or "I tried to leave a comment, but it never showed up." I have taken a few screenshots of the actual comment process from a desktop view. Maybe it will help.
If you want to comment or read comments click on the word comment at the bottom of the post.
Then you type your comment in the dialog box or click on reply under an existing comment.
Then hit Publish.
You may need to select your profile. It may be a Google ID or as Anonymous.
After you click "publish" you may be asked to prove you are not a robot
Then scroll down and click on "publish" again. I think this may be the step that is often missed, because you can not see the publish button without scrolling down.
If the comment was submitted correctly, it will either say "Your comment was published" or "Your comment will be published after moderation."
That is how it is done. Posting a comment from a mobile phone is very similar. The main thing that hangs people up is completing the CAPTCHA and then moving on down to publish.
Of course, you can also scroll down to the bottom of the page on the desktop view and fill out the blog contact form. That is emailed directly to us. We receive a lot of notes through that as well.
Thank you for stopping by today.
