Odie wants you to see the temperature in Corbin, Kentucky Monday evening.
That is a welcome change.
Let's start off this Mile Marker at the end of the day. There is a Sonny's BBQ on I-75, exit 29 in Corbin, Kentucky. We have stopped here several times hoping to find a parking spot at the Loves next door so that we could eat at Sonny's.

We have never been successful.
As you know, we left Mobile, Alabama Sunday evening and we nearly always eat at Sonny's when we are there. We did this time too. We ate there last Sunday and Wednesday for lunch with Bro. and Sis. Williamson.
Our Sonny's craving should have been satisfied for a while, right? Well, it was until Odie flung a craving on us again Monday afternoon.
As we were crossing into Kentucky Odie announced that she had received a coupon for a free meal at Sonny's for her Birthday which is later in the month. That set us to thinking about trying to get in again. We were hoping against hope, knowing we were setting ourselves up for disappointment.
This time we arrived earlier in the day than we have tried at other times. Lo and behold, we pulled right into an open parking spot at Love's. This may be our day!
We unhooked the Green Machine and pulled over to the Sonny's next door. It might have been one of the best meals at Sonny's ever. Odie received her free birthday meal, but we spent $30 for the privilege of eating with her. It was worth every penny. Wow!
The dry rub ribs were spectacular!
You talk about a great way to end the day! Oh Yeah, That is what I am talking about!
The rest of the day was pretty good too. We stopped Sunday night just below Birmingham but I did not want to drive in rush hour traffic Monday morning. We left the rest area just before 9:00 AM. We hit Birmingham just right and that put us in Chatanooga at lunchtime and Knoxville just before evening rush hour. Perfect timing and near perfect traffic flow.
We did not have one hiccup the whole day. We love travel days like that. We are very close to our destination of Bond, but we decided to stay at Love's in Corbin overnight. We need to make a stop in London for a few minutes and that would have put us at Bond after dark. Parking there after dark is no problem, but waiting until Tuesday morning is no problem either.
We plan to be parked at Bond by noon or so and camp meeting begins tonight. We get to hear our Pastor the first service and we are looking forward to that in a great way!
