Hey Friends,
This is Odie reporting in from my Beach Cottage in Waynesville, Ohio. I began pondering this post on Thanksgiving Day 2020.
Probably for most of us in the United States Thanksgiving was different than most years. 2020 has been rough for everyone. A lot of us can not be with our loved ones this year. Sickness and restriction severely limit us right now. Spending Thanksgiving on the road is not an abnormality for our family, but even that was different in 2020.
I was reminded on Thanksgiving that we still have a lot of things that we can thank God for, even during a pandemic! Did you see Dad's wonderful, Thanksgiving homily that he posted? It is worth watching a few times! It is both convicting and encouraging all wrapped in one package. You can check it out by clicking here. It inspired me to spend more time intentionally thanking God in all things.
An Answered Prayer Named Kari Noe
Today I want to share with you something that I am taking time to thank God for again. I am praising God for my precious friend, Kari Noe. recently I took some time to reflect on Kari's testimony. Miss Kari is a walking miracle! Her life is an example of answered prayers.
Several years ago she bravely fought and conquered, what she called, a "cancer dragon". God gave her the strength and answered our prayers. Today she is now cancer free! I know it was not an easy battle to win for Kari and her family! I thank God for seeing them through the many long difficult days.
Praise God for answering the countless prayers that were prayed for Kari and her family! God is awesome! I encourage you to look back at Kari's testimony too. Dad wrote this post about Kari a few years ago.
Here are a few pictures that I found in our archives of Kari. I enjoyed cruising down memory lane for a moment.
We were able to see Kari and her family in the fall. They came to revival in London, Kentucky. It was great to see their whole family again. I am ready to see them once we do not have to be so careful to avoid sickness. It was terrible not being able to hug my friends!
Here are two updated pictures of Kari. Several years can make a big difference. You can see the beautiful and healthy young lady that she is now! I know that many of you helped us pray for her during her sickness. Thank you for those prayers!
Kari, we love you, friend. You and your family will always be precious to us! I am so thankful for you, sweetheart. Thanks for being a bright spot in my life. Just thinking of you makes me smile!
Friends, in closing I want to encourage you to Thank God for answered prayer in the past! Also, remember He is still working miracles today! I am happy to report that God has NOT stopped working and He NEVER will change.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
