It was wonderful to have Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe with us for 2 and 1/2 days while we were home. Those of you that know Bro. Jimmie, know that he is worth his weight in gold. He is handier than a pocket on a shirt and more talented!
Of course, he worked the whole time he was here and we appreciate all that he was able to accomplish. We sure hope he keeps coming around even though it seems we are trying to work him to death.
The main reason he came was not for work.
Readers from way back may remember that I gave our original revival tent away several years ago because I felt like the Lord ask me to do so. Within a week or so, a Pastor told me that his church was going to help buy the new tent I was planning to order.
They paid nearly the whole amount for our first Blue and White tent. Please take a few moments to go back to 2011 and read that story. I just read it again and tears are flowing down my face. God is so amazing to provide direction when we need it!
A few years later, another family in another state purchased the fourth piece for that tent that we used in City Reach. That was another miracle.
Late last year we decided to replace two of the three original pieces of the Blue and White tent. We replaced the two sections that make up the 48' round part of the tent. The finish was damaged in a 24 hour dust storm in 2016 and those two pieces are showing their wear more and more every set up. It may last for years with periodic setups, but we decided to be safe rather than sorry.
We knew we would find a home for the old pieces and we did. We are giving the two tent pieces, a center pole, 20 stakes and one 22' wall piece to Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe and Bro. Jimmy Millikin. We are hoping they can use it in Oklahoma for many more years.
Bro. Jimmie took it back to Oklahoma when he left.
We have been asked to preach a tent revival in Oklahoma this summer and we want to do it if the pandemic situation allows. However, I was having trouble figuring out a way to get my tent trailer into position without several hundred extra miles of driving and a short time to do it.
We are going to purchase the side poles and ratchet straps the old tent needs to be usable and that will be partial payment for using the old tent in Oklahoma for a week this summer. I think that will work out nicely.
We are so happy to place the old tent into the hands of men that will try to use it in winning souls to Christ. We are glad to do that and would not think of doing otherwise.
We are paying our blessings forward inTENTly!
Thank you for stopping in to visit Mile Markers today.
