Hey Friends,
How are you doing? I want to wish all of you a very Happy Easter! I hope you are having a fabulous holiday weekend. By the way, this is Odie reporting in for another post.
He Lives
I am so glad to be celebrating the true reason for Easter. At this time of year, I like to reflect on the extraordinary fact that Jesus gave His life on Calvary. He willing died a horrific death on the cross for all of us. His sacrifice allowed me to have eternal life. I can testify from experience, His amazing gift is truly life changing!
Praise God that the story of Jesus does not end with His death on the cross, nor when He was placed in a tomb. Three days later the story erupts with new life. On the first Easter morning over two thousand years ago, my Savior rose from the grave! Jesus left behind everything that held Him in the tomb.
Jesus changed our world with His death, burial and resurrection. We now have hope to face today and tomorrow because of Jesus. The chorus from the hymn He Lives has been rolling over my mind recently. These words have sparked joy and praise in my heart.
He lives He Lives
Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives He lives
Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives
He lives within my heart
The craziness of the last 12 months makes me even more grateful that my Savior is alive. I call out to Him and He hears me. His voice has stilled my troubled soul many times. He has lived through every single crazy moment that we have faced.
Life changed in a blink of an eye. History seems like it will always be pre-covid or post-covid. The one sure thing that will never change is the fact that Jesus is alive. Even during these times of uncertainty, He is still right here with me. Today my heart is full of gratitude because He lives within my heart!
A Word of Encouragement
Most of you understand the joy of knowing Jesus personally. I know you experience the peace of having His presence with you. I am forever amazed by His ability to be with each of us twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.
Dear reader, do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? Jesus loves you more than you could ever imagine! He knows what is going on in your world right now.
Today my Jesus longs to be your Savior too. He desires your companionship. He is waiting on you to invite Him to change your life for the better. He can give you love, joy, peace and a reason to live. I promise that He will never leave you alone in this crazy world!
I encourage you to call on Jesus right now. He wants to hear from you. You can talk to Him anytime anywhere. Talk to Him just like you would your best friend! I want you to know Jesus like I do.
Thank you for visiting with me. I am grateful that you chose to spend a moment of your time here. I pray that God blesses all of you this weekend!
