Hey Friends,
This is Odie checking in with you. I hope your Saturday is going well. Thanks for all the feedback that I received on my post last week. If you missed it, you can find it here.
Thanks for reminiscing with me. It was fun to revisit that time in my life for a moment. Some of you let me know that you enjoyed learning something new. My friend, Bekah, let me know that she was sweating along with me during my story.😅 She used to work in radio and she understands trying to fit all the puzzle pieces together.
PSA
Tomorrow is Mother's Day! Do not forget to honor the special women in your life. To all the Mothers that are reading, Happy Mother's Day to you. May God bless and keep you!
I have been blessed beyond measure with amazing Grandmothers! My Gran and my Mamaw are incredible women. I seriously can not imagine life without them. I am so grateful that God has allowed them to be mine. They are both a phone call or a text away and I try not to let one day pass without communicating with them somehow. Gran and Mamaw I love you to the moon and back!
The Wow Mom
I struggle every time that I sit down to write a post to honor my Mother. Tears are flooding my eyes as I try to type my thoughts for you to read.
I have heard it said, you can spell MOM both forward and backward. Then turn the word mom upside down and you get WOW. I was trying to formulate this post in my mind and WOW was really the only word that truly describes my Mom fully.
Mom is a true superhero and a princess all wrapped together in one package. I guess it would be Wonder Woman and Cinderella combined. I do not think there is anything that she could not do. I know that she is not afraid to try to do anything if it needs to be done!
My Mom is always working on something. She hardly ever gets a moment to sit and relax. The last 14 weeks, since Covid hit our family, she has worked even harder. She nursed Dad and I without complaint and kept everything else running smoothly. She is literally the glue that keeps us all together.
Mother Dear, Happy Mother's Day! I know you do not receive the praise and recognition that you deserve. You are my hero and I love you with all of my heart! Thank you for always being there to encourage, teach, console and guide me.
I thank God for giving me the exact mother that I needed to help me live life! All of my life you have taught me, by example, how to be a lady. Here are a few words that came to mind, when I think of your amazing qualities that you display daily.
Unselfish- "Willing to put the needs or wishes of others before one's own."
Loyal- "Giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution."
Strong- "1. Having the power to move heavy weights or perform other physically demanding tasks."
2. "Able to withstand great force or pressure."
Fierce -Showing a heartfelt and powerful intensity."
Loving- "Feeling or showing love or great care."
Mom, you are unselfish, loyal, strong, fierce and loving! Your picture should be in the dictionary next to these words! I know that I could continue for pages describing you and I would never run out of words!
I have not even touched on your fun side. Thank you for making life crazy fun. On the good days and bad you always make me smile and laugh! I am so thankful for the countless memories that we have lived and collected together.
You have always made life an adventure. I look forward to many more adventures with you! Thanks for being my "bucky" and sidekick through life!
I try to express my love appreciation and gratitude for you on a regular basis. Today I wanted to show you publically that I think that you are totally awesome! Thanks for being my WOW Mom! I hope you have a fabulous Mother's Day this year!
Friends, thank for stopping by and spending some time with us toady! I will see you next Saturday.
