Another great weekend is in the books and this one had a little variation in it for sure. We had planned our Friday for a few weeks and we were excited to get it going. We loaded in the Jeep and picked up my parents at 12:30. Then we pointed the Jeep northward toward Plain City, Ohio.
Have you ever been to a Der Dutchman restaurant? They are an Amish style restaurant based mainly in Ohio. We used to have one in Waynesville for years but it burned many years ago. There is one north of Columbus that I have been too, but we had never been to the one in Plain City.
Plain City is only about 70 miles north of us, so we need to get up there more than once every 50 years.🤣
Dad and Mom had been there and they had nothing but good things to say about it. It has a menu to order from and a large buffet. I looked at the buffet and it was very appetizing.
They also have a banquet room that holds over 400 people promoters that hold events there. We were there with about 250 more folks to eat a family style meal and to hear the Isaacs sing.
Even though they are still operating at a reduced capacity in the banquet room, it was probably the most compacted crowd we have been in since the pandemic restrictions. It was a little unsettling for us, but I told myself, I have to put a little confidence in the vaccine at some point.
We arrived around 2:00 so that we would have a little time to visit with our family and enjoy soundcheck. The meal was good, the singing was wonderful and the fellowship was fantastic.

Speaking of meals, I really ate good this week. Here are a few pictures of my meals from KJo and one from Acapulco.
Sunday was a wonderful day of worship and fellowship at church with our brothers and sisters. It is great to have a wonderful church family.
Sunday afternoon, Odie ordered and paid for Acapulco for Father's Day. It was tremendous. She also showered me with gifts. Thank you Odie!
I have been preaching once on Sunday for several weeks, but our home church is having revival Tuesday through Friday and I am going to try to attend every night. I figured it might be best not to preach Sunday so as to save my strength. I am so glad we went to home church.
That sums up our weekend. Thank you for stopping by for a few moments.
