A Total Bus Day

After 154 days, the BoggsMobile finally got some road time and I am grinning from ear to ear!

KJo cranked it up, backed it out, we emptied the holding tanks, turned it around, hooked up the Jeep and hit the road for points unknown. Well, we had not preplanned the route, but we had an idea of the destination.😁

We hooked the Jeep next door at the church.

We stopped at the five mile point and the thirty mile point to check the wheel temperatures and look things over. All was good both times and I did not stop again until we had skirted around Columbus and arrived at Der Dutchman in Plain City, Ohio.

After a great lunch, we took a nap since we travel with our bed in the back. Yay!

It is only 73 miles from the Ranch to Plain City, but we took 110 miles to get there and another long route toward Dayton to get back for a total of 200 trouble free miles. We are praising God for those miles and the lack of trouble. Hopefully, we can run it again next week.

The bus is resting next to the barn now.

I told you that I am grinning from ear to ear, but we are not running the bus for kicks and grins. We need to know the bus is doing as well as it can before we strike out on a thousand mile trip. Too many things can go wrong and I am doing my dead level best to prevent any trouble I can before it happens.

I downloaded the files from the dashcam on the way up to Der Dutchman and compiled them into an 8 minute high speed video. I posted that video on YouTube this morning. I have no idea if there is any interest from our normal audience in this type of video at all. Let me know in the comments below. I have the trip home in my files.

Thank you for dropping into Mile Markers today.
