It was raining cats and dogs Thursday as we left Bernice, Louisiana, so no pictures. Normally, we would not have to rush to leave, but the winter weather that was sweeping much of the nation was threatening the northern Louisiana area. It was time to get out of Dodge. We have wheels on our house and that is one of the reasons.
We pointed straight south and did not stop for more than a few minutes until we were south of I-10. Our overnight parking spot was a familiar stop behind the Bass Pro in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The girls gathered some groceries in the evening and I did as much of nothing as I could.
Friday at 10:30 AM found us at our favorite Mexican Buffet in Baton Rouge, El Magey. I put my pictures in the Saturday soundcheck video, but Odie had a couple.
After lunch Friday, we cranked the bus and finished the short trip to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs. It was raining as we arrived, but here is the bus in the sunshine Saturday.
Here are a few screenshots from home, in Ohio.
7:15 AM Saturday we dialed into a Zoom service in India by invitation of Pastor Johnson George. We were singing and preaching during the monthly Zoom meeting of his fellowship of Missionary Pastors in different parts of India.
Our part of the service was quite ordinary, but listening to the monthly reports and prayer requests of the people there, was inspiring and humbling. They serve God so faithfully with no thought of commendation or compensation. It was a blessing to be in service to such heroes of the faith.
Saturday we enjoyed Mexican at Pedro's in Denham Springs and Sis. Sissy Arnold's birthday.
After lunch, we loaded in our sound equipment, set up and checked our sound. I edited as quickly as possible and drove toward town to load the video.
Sunday we enjoyed two great services with these fine folks. We appreciate Pastor Jerry Arnold and his people. We are looking forward to three more great services.
That wraps up our weekend. Thank you for dropping by for a few minutes.
