We closed revival Wednesday night of last week in Romney and Thursday was a rest day through and through. The only thing that I did remotely productive was when we met Pastor Bob Jeffreys and his wife for supper about five minutes from the bus.
Friday we readied the BoggsMobile and Jeep for travel. Here is the bus all shined from Wednesday's wash job.
Less than one hour later after driving 33 miles very slowly, but including about 20 minutes of sprinkling rain, the bus looked like it had never been washed! Ugh!
That is the way the cookie crumbles and road salt and grime splashes.
We parked away from the main sanctuary at Kirby Assembly so I nosed the bus next to the front entrance and unloaded the sound equipment before we parked. The Pastor came soon after and helped us roll everything in. Then we set up and got our soundcheck.
We had four terrific revival services with Pastor Jed Metzler and his family near Rio, West Virginia Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can see Revival In Pictures from that in our Mile Marker from Tuesday.
Monday morning we rested as much as we could and then began the process of moving back into Virginia. It was about noon by the time everything was ready to go and about 2:30 when we pulled into the Love's near Staunton, Virginia to do the work of the evangelist.
While at Love's, we disconnected the Jeep and the girls went to do laundry. I put some diesel in the BoggsMobile and drove about 75 minutes more to Full Gospel Assembly in Charlottesville. KJo and Odie met me there later.
I wanted to spend the night at Love's but the RV spots out front were too small. I am sure the management would not have minded if we parked there, but it might have made it inconvenient for other RVs and pickups with trailers, so we moved on.
After the girls arrived in Charlottesville, we went to eat with Pastor Ronnie Sipe and some family. We enjoyed a great meal and fellowship. Unfortunately, food pictures are all we remembered to take.
Tuesday was a rest day as designed. I must get this resting routine down pat.😊 Last week we had revival in two churches seven nights out of eight, sang and preached ten times and rested Thursday. It was important for me to rest Tuesday for sure.
Wednesday morning we carried in sound equipment here at Full Gospel Assembly and set up for soundcheck. KJo and I went about six miles south to Wood Grill Buffet for lunch and enjoyed every bite of it. We think it is as good as the Wood Grill in Harrisonburg and that is saying something.
We began revival Wednesday evening. We are only here for three services, but we are super glad to get better acquainted with Pastor Ronnie Sipe and his precious folks.
We should have several pictures from here on Friday. Thank you for reading today.
