The weekend began Friday with our last night of revival in Moore, Oklahoma. We love preaching at Crosslight for Pastor Lendell Birdsong, Sis. Cindi and their wonderful people. There were lots of new faces there this year and that is always super exciting.
The final night of revival was a wonderful mix of old friends and new friends. Odie captured as many pictures as she could.
Some of the men helped us load up after church, but we did not drive Friday night. We had planned to drive awhile since we were going 400 miles to our next revival in Birch Tree, Missouri. We had even turned the bus around during the day and hooked up the car in order to be prepared to roll at the final "Amen."
Pastor Ronald Coots, the Pastor in Missouri insisted we drive a little easier and be there to begin revival Sunday night rather than Sunday morning. That was incredibly kind of him and we appreciate it very much.
We rested pretty good overnight in Moore and pulled out about 9:00 AM. We drove 267 miles to a rest area in Missouri and our only stop was a fuel stop in Tulsa.
I took a nap in the afternoon after we parked and then went to bed early. It proved to be a good combination and I was up early, raring to go.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that we have been dealing with a power steering leak. The leak is worse and each travel day I have to fill the reservoir before we crank. By the end of the travel day, it is as if we have no power steering at all.
That is what I did while KJo was getting the inside ready to ride. The Power Steering takes Dexron transmission fluid.
Sometimes we find it cheaper in a gallon container so I use a measuring cup to pour it in.
It is a little tricky to get to, but a "bendy" funnel works fine.
There is a new Love's truck stop a few miles before West Plains at Willow Springs. I stopped there to top off the fluid so I could make the turns into the RV Park. We are parking here while in revival in Birch Tree.
After we were parked, we loaded some sound equipment in the Green Machine, ate a bite for lunch, rested about two minutes and then took off for church.
The first night of revival was great and we are looking forward to four more nights. We love Bro. and Sis. Coots and we are so happy to be here with them and their people.
There were two surprise visitors Sunday night. Bro. Mitch and Sis. Lynn Boggs drove about 2.5 hours to be with us. Wow! What a blessing to see them again! Thank you, friends.
That wraps up our weekend. Thank you for stopping in.
