The Weekend Dispatch 8/14/23

This wonderful weekend has been all tent revival all the time and there is not much chance I could have enjoyed a weekend any more than I did. I am praising God for His help each and every step of the way.

We pulled into Lowell Bible Church Thursday afternoon and rested well that night. Our generator is still not reliable, but the weather was very mild and we made it just fine. The generator will usually run and hour or two and that is enough to get some charge on the batteries each day.

The bus windows were open all weekend and except for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday, it was completely comfortable temperature-wise. We made it just fine and we are thankful for that.

Sunday afternoon would have fried us inside the bus. It was about 15-20 degrees warmer inside than outside. But we cranked the generator and it was able to run most of the evening, the first time in a long time. Yay!

Tent Revival
Friday and Saturday services began at 6:00. Our custom on the first night is to set up sound three hours early in case we run into any challenges and that is exactly what we did. Thankfully, everything functioned as it should.

The services under the tent were wonderful and I enjoyed singing and preaching for Pastor David DiZazzo and the people here. I love ministering everywhere, but it is especially enjoyable when the people are soaking it up. We have been amazingly blessed to preach in some wonderful places and this is one of them for sure.

KJo made a quick trip to Scampy's for the best cheese steak sandwiches in the known world. They call them Grinders. I have told you about them before. Wow Again!

Most of you know that I do not eat regular bread, but this is an exception worth making every two years!

VBS was finishing Friday and the students came to sing for the service Friday night. They did great!

Sunday morning was wonderful. I was overwhelmed after the service by the outpouring of love from all of the people. My preaching can not be about receiving applause, but it satisfying to know it is appreciated. After service Sunday morning, we had a big church dinner. It was excellent.

What a wonderful weekend with our Vermont friends. We sure appreciate Pastor DiZazzo inviting us again and the fact that these folks have embraced us so warmly. We look forward to returning again in the future by God's grace.

We should have Revival In Pictures tomorrow.
