The Weekend Dispatch 9/18/23

Let us begin The Weekend Dispatch Friday morning in Citronelle, Alabama. The BoggsMobile was disconnected from utilities, cranked, turned around and the Jeep hooked up by about 7:30.

By 9:20 or so we had driven 65 miles to Richton City Park in Richton, Mississippi. Pastor Scott Morris was there to help us wiggle in and set up. Then we reconvened in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for our visit to Front Porch.

Friday evening, Bro. Scott pulled the tent trailer to the park and we measured and marked the stake line for the tent.

Then we moved the tent trailer into its position for the week.

Then Bro. Scott fueled the generator and cranked it up for a test run.

Saturday morning we set up the tent. We will have many more pictures of that later.

On the first service of an outdoor meeting, KJo and I normally begin sound set up about three hours before service to allow for anomalies like bad cords and cranky equipment. We have adopted this practice because of instances in which we have worked to the last moment and beyond and then had to rush to clean up for church.

There are times when everything goes completely smoothly, but most of the time, we need every extra moment. Yesterday the sound set up and soundcheck went perfectly. Wonderful!

The first service was awesome. Praise God for His help and strength!

We are looking forward to the rest of the week. Thank you for stopping in.
