Weekend Dispatch 2/19/24

Today we finally have a Mile Marker that resembles a weekend dispatch more than anything we have posted for quite a while. Thank you for joining us today.

Friday, KJo drove me to therapy by nine and we were finished by noon as usual. All three sessions were great, but the physical therapy was the most memorable.

As a measuring stick, they wanted to see how far I could walk using the walker in six minutes. I could stop and rest at any time, but I walked continually the whole six minutes in the hallways and they said I walked 812 feet. It is not too far but super great for me! Hallelujah!

The therapist was pleased and so I was pleased. We will try to improve to 1000 feet in six minutes in the future and then 1000 feet with a cane, if necessary and then 1000 feet unassisted.

Saturday passed for what has become a normal day around here. I spent it exercising and doing therapy and watching the day go by. Eventually, the day does end and the long night begins.

Yesterday, we dressed up in our Sunday Best and went to Dryden Rd, our home church. It was great to be back and we enjoyed it very much. We heard our Pastor teach Sunday school and Brother Andrew Blevins preached.

Odie snapped a few pictures.

Sunday afternoon we had a visit from KJo’s parents and a visit from my parents. That brings us up to today, another day of therapy and taking one step at a time.

Thank you for reading today.
