This last circle was another fast one. The circle involved nine days, 2271 miles of driving, six different beds, eight states, five services, four churches, lots of great Mexican food and unlimited laughs and fun.
This recent trip was planned a few months ago when we committed to driving the moving truck for Steve and Karen. They were moving from Ohio to Kansas to work in Bethany Revival Center and we wanted to help.
We are not unfamiliar with the move from Ohio to Wichita. We made that same move 21 years ago. The New Horizon Holiness Church installed us as Pastor in May of 1999. We drove to Wichita seven out of eight weekends and then moved near the end of June.
Steve and Karen are living 31 blocks south of where we lived and 2-3 blocks east. KJo and I were so happy to help in the effort. May God bless them as they work in Ministry under the direction of Pastor John DiZazzo and his team.
We spent Saturday at a retirement celebration for Pastor Ricky Searcy and Sunday with Pastor Lendell Birdsong and Crosslight Chapel in Norman, Oklahoma. We really enjoyed the weekend.
Monday we drove back to Wichita and helped (maybe) Steve and Karen unpack. Mostly we visited and had fun.
Wedneday morning we drove to Seymour, Missouri and preached that night at Seymour Holiness Church for Pastor Jeffery Blankenship. We loved being with Bro. Jeffery and Sis. Rebecca, their children and the congregation.
Thursday night we sang and preached at Victory Pentecostal Church in Birch Tree, Missouri for Pastor Ronald Coots. That was our very first time preaching for them and we enjoyed the service very much.
We drove 180 miles toward home after church and finished up another 370 miles Friday. I have had my fill of hotels and strange beds for a while and I am glad to be back in the bus.
Most, not all, of these pictures have been posted before, but here are a few from the circle.
We began the next circle two days ago. It will probably not be that many more miles than this circle, but it will be spread over six weeks and I should have my own bed every night.
Thank you for stopping by today.
