New Castle, Indiana - Tent Revival in Pictures

We really enjoyed tent revival with Pastor Hisle and his family and the Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle in New Castle, Indiana. We love being under the blue and white Gospel tent and we love being with the Hisle family so this was naturally a great week.

It was pretty cool by the time we took the tent down Friday night after church but thankfully the rain held off. We had lots of help including several visitors that jumped in and worked hard. I always appreciate all of the help. I can not do it by myself, I know that for sure.

We drove to the church at New Castle and hooked up to the tent trailer Saturday and made the trip to Waynesville, Ohio with no problems. We arrived at Dodds Church around 5:00 and spent the evening with my family at my Dad and Mom's barn. It was good to relax with all of them.

Today I am supposed to preach the Homecoming service for Pastor Randy Brown in Sharonville, Ohio and then we are planning to be at our home church tonight. I am actually scheduled to preach Homecomings the next four Sundays in a row. There should be a lot of good eating going on!

Here are some pictures from the tent revival in New Castle, Indiana. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great Sunday.

No Fill Up Please!

I passed up diesel in Indiana because it was $4.07 a gallon. I figured it had to be cheaper in Ohio. I figured wrong!

Diesel at the Pilot in Franklin, Ohio was $4.13. I wanted to fill up so I guessed high when I told the cashier $650. (I have to give them an amount to authorize and then they charge the card after I am finished.)

But at $4.13 a gallon, $650 was not quite enough. I probably could have put in another 10-15 gallons!

The tent is down and packed up. We have lots of pictures and a full post for later.

Who Did I Miss??

I saw this HERE today and thought it was good enough to pass along... Davy

I just received my tax return for 2011 back from the IRS and it puzzles me!!! They are questioning how many dependents I claimed. I guess it was because of my response to the question: “List all dependents?”

I replied: 12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million unemployed people on food stamps, 2 million people in over 243 prisons; Half of Mexico; and 535 persons in the U.S. House and Senate.”

Evidently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

I KEEP ASKING MYSELF, WHOM DID I MISS?

Dryden Rd. Indoor Fellowship Meeting

Tent Revival services have been good every night. We have had pastors and church folks from the area churches every night. Their visits are encouraging and we appreciate it very much.

Tonight (Wednesday) most of the area churches have service so the fellowship was thin. We did have a very special pastor visiting tonight though.

Our pastor Bro. Bennie Sutherland drove all the way over from Dayton, Ohio for the service. He brought Sis. Sutherland along and one of his granddaughters, Jacqueline as well.

It was a real treat to have them with us. One of the drawbacks of living on the road as we do is not being able to attend our home church every week and not getting to hear Bro. Bennie preach.

We love our home church and we love our pastor and his family. We are so thankful they took the time to come over tonight.

Speaking of our home church, our Indoor Fellowship meeting is just around the corner. It is scheduled for August 21-24.

It will begin on Tuesday night and go through Friday night. Bro. Shad McDonald will be the night speaker.

The day services are Wednesday through Friday. Bro. Dwain Galiher will be preaching in the 10:00 service.

They will be serving breakfast and lunch and then refreshments after church at night. Trust me, the gravy at breakfast is worth the trip.

We always have good services during the meeting and I know this year will be no different. I encourage you to make plans to attend.

It is held at Dryden Rd. Pentecostal Church at 3201 Dryden Rd. Dayton, Ohio. We would love to see you there.

Thanks for your continued prayers. It is storming here tonight so I am at the tent. They need the rain so I am not complaining.

Back in White Castle Country

It is good to be Back in White Castle Country. In fact there is one right here in New Castle, Indiana pretty close to the church.

Bro. and Sis. Hisle took us there Saturday after the tent was set up and we enjoyed it very much as usual.

I know a bunch of folks just do not understand a White Castle craving but that's OK. I guess it is something you either love or hate. We happen to love them!

It would definitely be dangerous for me to live this close to one all the time.

Hope you all are having a good week. God is blessing each night under the tent. We are praying for souls to be saved from this neighborhood.

First Night of Tent Revival in New Castle, Indiana

Here are a few pictures from the first night of Tent Revival in New Castle, Indiana. I will have to post details later.

It is late Sunday night, it has been a long few days and I am beat. I must be a wimp.

Service was great though. Pray that God will send us souls.
