Travel Day and Fellowship Meeting

We are parked in our spot behind the fellowship hall at our home church, Dryden Rd. Pentecostal Church in Dayton, Ohio. We arrived a little before 7:00 PM Eastern time and I was so glad to finally make it!

We left Sunday night after a great service a Westside Holiness Church. I was pretty hyped up after service so that always helps me stay awake for quite a while. I did not know how far I would drive before sleeping but I wanted to put at least 100 miles behind us. I ended up driving 316 miles and we stopped at the Flying J in Sullivan, Missouri for the rest of the night.

We nosed in between transport truck delivering a fifth wheel and a class A motorhome pulling a horse trailer. The horse trailer was partially in our lane so I was glad to discover the driver was able to pull out without hitting the BoggsMobile. By the time I looked outside at 7:30 AM the RV parking was wide open.

We fueled up at the Flying J before we left. I only needed a half a tank but I wanted to top it off before I crossed into states with higher prices. We filled up at the exact same truck stop on our way out to Oklahoma. In fact, the Flying J has been a regular stop of ours for many years and we have slept in that parking lot many nights in at least three different RVs.

We pulled out Monday morning and finished the trip to Dryden Rd. with only about 100 miles of rain and a small delay in Indianapolis for traffic. The GPS says it was 435 miles from Sullivan to Dayton.

Bro. Bennie had the path cleared for us to pull in and he was waiting for us when we arrived. We visited a little with some of the folks that were here working then I washed the bugs and grime off the front of the bus, the back of the bus and the front of the Green Machine.

With everything nice and clean I went inside and crashed! Long and quick trips are hard on me but at least I am not pastoring a church!

Dryden Rd. Indoor Fellowship Meeting starts tonight and we are looking forward to it. The posts this week will be mostly pictures as is our habit during campmeeting and then Odie will probably write up a summary of the preaching in her Saturday post. Come see us if you can!

Weekend Wound Up and Weview August 17

We closed revival Friday night at South Mission at Broken Arrow as planned but not before a great service and God moving in the altar in a wonderful way. I really appreciate Pastor Leon Rich and all their folks. God is moving among them and it was nice to be a part of it for a few days. I heard they had a great service Sunday morning after we left and that is always good to hear.

We have two pictures from Thursday that we neglected to post with the other revival pictures Friday. Bro. Trenton Metheny and his family from California stopped to visit Thursday on their way through town on vacation. Bro. Trenton is Bro. Trever's brother and we all met for lunch and a great visit. We hope to see these folks soon at Riverdale's 50th anniversary camp meeting in October.

Green Machine Tires

On Friday I took care of a nagging tire problem on the Green Machine. When I replaced the tires at Discount Tire in Dayton last December I could tell immediately they were much better tires than I had used the last time. However the car pulled to the left when I pulled out of the lot. They could find nothing wrong with the tires or the alignment.

In April I had Pastor John Eaton's shop do some work on the Green Machine and he noticed the pulling. He moved the front tires from side to side and nothing changed. He rotated the front to the back and the pulling was gone. He guessed one of those tires had a pulled belt.

It took a few months to work it all out but Bro. John Eaton was correct!

It was time to rotate the tires again on Wednesday and as soon as those tires were on the front it pulled to the left again. The Discount Tire in Broken Arrow ordered a new tire and Friday they put it on. It took a little trial and error to determine which tire had the pulled belt but now it drives like a dream again.

South Mission Revival

We snapped a few pictures Friday night and we have those below. We had so many visitors this week and we were not able to get pictures of most of them. We sure do love it when friends come to visit though.

Dear Friends on Saturday

Saturday morning Kelly Jo and I ran down to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and visited with our good friends Bro. Bruce and Sis. Priscilla Mayhan. The Mayhan's have been our friends for 25 years and they have been so good to surprise us by showing up at revivals all over the country. We appreciate their friendship and hospitality. Saturday they treated us to lunch and invited us into their home and treated us like royalty. It was a day well spent with dear friends.

Claremore

We arrived back at the BoggsMobile, reunited with Odie Podie, cranked up the bus, unhooked and rolled up the utilities and moved about 25 miles to Westside Holiness Church in Claremore, Oklahoma.

I will say again (As I do every time I come here) Westside Holiness is an absolutely beautiful church.

After we unhooked the car Kelly Jo pulled over to the side and parked the bus. Once the utilities were connected I drove the Green Machine over to the place where the tent trailer is parked. I had several items in the car that I had accumulated for City Reach. I checked on the trailer, unloaded the car and organized a few things inside the trailer.

We had two great services on Sunday with Pastor Darrell Meadow and all his fine people. We love coming here. Bro. Meadow, his family and his church have been so good to us through the years and we appreciate their friendship very much.

Church started at 6:00 so we were hooked up and pulling out at 9:10 PM Central time. The night was cool and the traffic was pretty light so we traveled until about 2:00 AM. We covered 316 miles and we are parked at a truck stop for the night. I am going to post this and then I am going to bed. I have about 445 more miles to go to Dryden Rd. in Dayton.

Here are a few pictures from Sunday at Westside. I hope you enjoy.

View Out The Front Window August 16, 2015

Here is our view from the front door this weekend.

This is our view our the front window.

This view should be familiar to regular readers because this has been a common stop for us through the years. We are at Westside Holiness Church in Claremore, Oklahoma for both services today. We are going to have a great Sunday and then we are going to point the BoggsMobile toward Ohio for Dryden Rd. Indoor Fellowship Meeting.

I hope you have a terrific Sunday.

Revived And Refreshed

Hey Friends, it is Odie coming to you from Oklahoma. We have had a fantastic week here in Broken Arrow. The weather has decided to be beautiful and the church services have been wonderful.

We love being at South Mission Holiness Church with Pastor Leon Rich and family.  It is thrilling to see God blessing this dear church! We love them very much and it is our privilege to call them our friends. It is amazing that fine people like this invite us to come but we are very thankful for it.

It is hard to describe the revival services we have had this week. God has blessed and helped each time.  Monday was my night for a blessing! It was glorious. I thought my complete healing was going to happen.  I may not be walking yet but I am praising God for a complete healing that is in my near future! I believe that I could be walking any day. I hope that I walk here on Earth.  I know for certain I will walk on streets of gold in Heaven. I am extremely thankful for this revival and the boost that it has given to my spirit!

We have mentioned this song  sang by the Isaacs "I Wanna Be There" in several past blog post.

Dad said this a few months ago. "We first told you about I Wanna Be There Back in September of 2013. The song is on the Isaacs' latest CD The Living Years. It was written by Jimmy Yeary, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman. The first verse is written about Gordon Mote and the second verse is about Odie.

It is an awesome song about folks receiving their miracle in Heaven IF they do not receive them here and I wanna be there when they do receive it. I wanna be there when the blind man sees for the first time. I wanna be there when the crippled girl runs for the first time."

I Wanna Be There really is a good song. I hope that along the way it will encourage someone else to hold on and believe for their miracle. Very soon we are all going to Heaven.  I am anxiously anticipating that day were will be free from all sickness and trouble!

This week the 2015 Dove Award nominations were announced. I Wanna Be There is nominated in the category of Christian Country Song of the Year! Ben Isaacs has some nominations for albums he produced and John Bowman has a nomination as well. The 2015 Dove Awards will be held in Nashville, Tennessee on October 13th. Congratulations to the Isaacs for receiving several nominations for Dove Awards this year! I hope they win in every category.

I hope you all have a superb weekend. God bless you all very very much!
